Owl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I don't know...after reading his last posts, I'm thinking his wife wore him out to the point he was too exhausted to make it back to LS??
Author twice_shy Posted July 10, 2008 Author Posted July 10, 2008 I don't know...after reading his last posts, I'm thinking his wife wore him out to the point he was too exhausted to make it back to LS?? so she does have him by the cahones
Lookingforward Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I don't know...after reading his last posts, I'm thinking his wife wore him out to the point he was too exhausted to make it back to LS?? ah yes...all that hysterical bonding
Owl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Exactly...LOL! He was complaining about that in his last posts...I wonder if it did him? What a way to go tho...
Trialbyfire Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 This hysterical bonding thing never made sense to me in general, not just SD's case. I remember how it was after D-day and I would have classified it as complete revulsion. Who knows who's touched what!!
Owl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Did you recover your marriage, TBF? I don't recall. Its real...went through it myself. In my case, I didn't have that to worry about tho...there was never a chance for it to have turned physical, so it was still 'safe'. I get where you're coming from tho...had it been physical, I don't believe I would have been willing to be with her in ANY sense after that. Others don't feel that way tho, so its not surprising that it happens the way it does.
Trialbyfire Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 No way Owl! I was out like a flash! It took me over a year before I would even stand or sit within a foot of him. I can understand men wanting to assert their territory but women, it doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, what do I know since it's true I didn't make any attempt to repair my marriage.
Owl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Hope you didn't take my question as an attack, TBF. It wasn't intended as such...I was honestly curious if you'd recovered your marriage and hadn't experienced that "hysterical bonding". That was my ONLY point in the question. And I absolutely understand your choice to be "out like a flash"...there is nothing wrong with that at all once infidelity hits the table. If my wife were to cheat in any fashion again, there'd be no second chances here either.
Owl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 And I don't think with women its an "assert your territory" thing as much. I think that its more likely for them a show of "why would you have ever wanted to leave THIS behind?!?!?!" as much as anything else. And its also an affirmation of desireability on both parts...often BS's are plagued with a "what is wrong with me" feeling as part of d-day...that bonding helps them realize that the answer was..."nothing at all".

Trialbyfire Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 No Owl, I never took it as an attack or was in the least bit offended by your comments. Okay, that I can understand. Thanks. Haha...that's true. I'll have to remember that for future. sd = stampdaddy. Scriv = Scrivdog.
Owl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 LOL!!! Well, I'm betting that SD (Stampdaddy) would be up for some "hysterical bonding" at this point tho...LOL Hope you're doing well, my friend! Hope NC is holding for you, and you're getting your golf game in line!
Lookingforward Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I'm the new SD:laugh: new and improved? (with added fibre and vitamins?)

stampdaddy Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 pffft - golf = a good walk ruined ( and usually some balls lost) Let me check... one... two.. three.. yep, still got my balls..
Lookingforward Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Let me check... one... two.. three.. yep, still got my balls.. only cos you steer clear of the water hazards
Owl Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 No, that just causes shrinkage, LF! Loosing things is usually just cause he didn't handle them right in the first place...
OWoman Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 No, that just causes shrinkage, LF! Depends how cold the water is? Loosing things is usually just cause he didn't handle them right in the first place... holes in his pockets?
Virgo1982 Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I don't know...after reading his last posts, I'm thinking his wife wore him out to the point he was too exhausted to make it back to LS?? I guess she's saying to herself, "If it's sex you want, then sex you will get!"
Author twice_shy Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 I guess she's saying to herself, "If it's sex you want, then sex you will get!" I wonder if its because she is overcompensating because he made her feel inadequate, or if she truly is getting back in touch with the M, but he still would rather bone other women. I don't think there is any amount of sex she can give him that will make him lose his desire to have sex with other women and no matter how much attention he is getting at home, I think he still will continue to cheat. If ya read any of his other posts....he's the type. That or she is divorcing him and he cannot bring himself to post right now.

If ya read any of his other posts....he's the type. I think this is it. I read some of his other post and think he just lost interest in her. From what I could pick up, they were middle aged and he lost his attraction to her and wanted something younger. I hope she has grown a back bone and left the marriage.

I remember when he first explained the problem. Apparently, it took his cheating for her to give him what he asked for. (Please don't jump on me like a rabid cheeta.) I just remember him asking her to work on the marriage, without results. I basically get the impression that infidelity is much worse than refusing to work on marital issues. I think that's unfair. I don't think SD is saying he's perfect and I don't think his wife is perfect.
