I get this all the time!!

Look at my photo! Im 29!

If I shave completely, I get ID'd at the liquor store, clubs, if I want to buy a lottery ticket...

It gets embarrassing when I try to talk to a woman in the club, and she thinks she has 3 or 4 years on me.. when in actuality, im like 6 years older than her!!

lol

I'm tall, so at least I have that going for me lol..

I honestly think you look 33, not in your 20's. Sorry hunny. ;)

I agree based on that picture, but that's not a bad thing for a guy.

I don't think 1 person said they looked their age or older so I guess we are all drinking the fountain of youth.

Anybody get told they look much older than they are?????? Tell the truth......

My most recent ex did. The first time I met him I thought he was 30 but he was actually six months younger than me (23). He thought I was 19.

He said that when he was 17-18 people thought he was 25.

Viv, you do look younger. Handsome guy.

I was 43 in my profile pic. I'm mistaken for mid to late 30's usually. When I met H I was 33 and he guessed my age as 26.

I smoke, drink, sun with no sunscreen or the lowest SPF.

Yep, it's in the genes. Although it could all catch up with me soon. YIKES!

But I look REALLY young in my avvy, don't I?

So I wonder if there's this 'race' of people with great genes? lol

Certainly genes play a role, but there are other factors. One such factor is based on a fairly new study conducted at Johns Hopkins university.

They basically claim that orgasms can make you healthier, including helping you to look younger.

I have actually had women on dating sites refuse to date me because they thought I looked young, or refused to believe I was around THEIR age. lol

They were in denial, and thought I was BS'ing them.

I think it's a combination of genes and good care... (healthy eating, being happy, not too much stress and some exercises)

I hate exercises so I have to thank my genes and being happy, I guess... I'm not a health freak.. so I eat junk and stuff but I have to be careful though.

I agree with Yamaha.. everybody think they look younger.. but I am positive that we don't perceives ourselves as others see us.

Like when you see a really ugly person.. I'm sure they don't think they are THAT ugly.. (I guess they are 'used' to that face... they might know they're not 'beautiful' but 'ugly' no... they don't think they're ugly.

When love is involved we tend to see the other person as much better looking than they are in reality.. (ex. parents-children).

So it's subjective... The guy who bought my house and his cousin, when I told them I had a 32-yr old daughter.. they were shocked... they thought I was 35...

So I am often told that I look much much younger... I don't do my age.. and I guess, if I compare with the typical 56 yr old out there.. no.. I don't do my age.. ;)

I want to brag too! I'm 38 and the average age guess is 26. Once a guy said 29 and I almost had an aneurysm. When I was 34, I wore braces and I was told by a few people they thought I was still a teenager. I wear massive l'oreal ombrelle sunscreen every day, try to eat right, but I smoke. My dermatologist told me i'd look even younger if I stopped smoking. I keep my dermatologist in business.

Good side is that guys in their mid 20s think I'm one of them. Bad side, is that men my age may look but don't necessarily pursue me. But the old guys, they won't leave me alone!!!

Working out definitely makes you glow and look younger. Need to get back into that.

I should add that I never go in the sun... I like the shade (even on vacation)... and I use very expensive cream (I'm a face cream junkie). on my face, neck and the decolleté.. I hate to see 'old frimpy' cleavage... mine is still very youthful.. :bunny:

I think it's kind of funny about people say 50 and over. If they do look younger and you want to let them know, you have to lie too much the other way because think about it...Let's say they're 55, right? If you want to tell them they look years younger, even if you go down to mid 40's and tell them they look 45 or 46 you're still telling them they look middle-aged!

So usually, you have to over-exaggerate and tell a mid-50's person that they look to be in their 30's.

All great till their mid 30's kid walks up and says Hi mom or dad! :lmao::lmao:

That's SO true! It's a caring lie.

My face is as young and as smooth as my sexy peach butt. I stand in the mirror and admire my youthful features and my peachy butt and I have recently diagnosed myself with Dorian Grey Syndrome, because I'm an attention whore. You can tell how a old a person is, even when they try and stay young.

I actually think I look about my age.

I think it's all about taking care of yourself, dressing right, drinking lots of water, working out and feeling young.

My best friend is 26, 10 years younger than me- and when we go out, people always guess the reverse about our ages.... and boy does she get mad...

Lizzie, can you post your picture? You are 56 but look 35?

BS.

It's all about genetics and are you really 36? You look too sexy and young to be a 36 year old.

People usually look their age to me. I'm really good at guessing people's ages down to the exact year, probably because I'm so hyper-attuned to faces as I love to draw them. But I think most people underestimate and assume people are younger than they actually are. I have on occasion been fooled, but it's rare.

I think it's taking care of yourself AND the genes. You look amazing! :)

I still say sun after genetics is the most important factor. Water and eating right (aside from staying thin) and wearing moisturizer do almost nothing.

Oh, and one more thing. I think the lower face is the best indicator of age, not the eyes as a lot of people think. Something about the mouth and jaw area quickly changes with age, even in your late twenties.

You can tell your friend that you're D-lishcious. :):lmao::lmao:

It is all about taking care of yourself and exploit the genes you already have.

Well some people can take the sun and others can't. My mother and grandmother are big sun-worshippers and they're not all wrinkled.

All great till their mid 30's kid walks up and says Hi mom or dad!

JB, that was funny! Yeah, that would kind of give it away.

Right, SG. I mean take my grandmother (Please!) She's 91. She looks amazing. I'm not kidding. But what am I supposed to say to her to let her know that? "Gee, grandma you don't look a day over 70."

I mean that "should" be a compliment since that would mean she looks more than 20 years younger but yeah, that doesn't quite work. So I'd have to tell her she looks to be in her 50's I guess for it to really mean something, you know?

My mom is 60 and looks about 48-50. She was a sun worshipper and smoked until I was 5. Grammy is 84 and looks like she's 72 or so. She too was a sun worshipper and smoker until she was in her late 50's. We all have chubby angel-like cheeks... I think that's the key!!
