northstar1 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I am curious, of those who break up with their partners and walk away - and for those on here who are 'dumped' and stick to no contact, how often do those ex's come back again and get in touch and try it again. Im guessing it has to be less than 10%, even more so if the dumper is female (since I believe that generally women once they've accepted it's over can walk away easier then men) You don't see many "She came back after x number of months of no contact and we are trying again" stories on here - perhaps those who post about being broken up and and get back with them never both to post on here again. I should clarify that I am not trying to see what hope I have, I'm not playing that game anymore, just a general curiosity.
sid3 Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Yeah your probably close with that number. I think far more come back, but not nearly as many where there is an honest attempt to work on things. Some people have other reasons to come back, ego, control etc. In my case,it took a month. Things do not improve immediately after they return, there is a lot of uncertainty. After a few weeks, there still is. But I do see a sincere effort. During N/C, I didn't think about hope. It's was pointless IMO.
