confused and broken Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I think that I am pretty blue lately... My life is still extremely productive... maybe overly productive When I am at work or out... I am fine, but during those inevitable times where I am alone my heart aches (actual physical pain)... And I just get this really pessimistic view towards life... I was just wondering how do you cope? And what types of things make you feel better?
Crazy.S Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Its the same for me man. It's those times when you aren't alone, but with friends and family that keeps you going. Live well for yourself and for those who love you. Just knowing that you aren't alone is more than enough to lift your spirits. You will always have them and they will always have you. Once you are well, you will find someone else who will make you happy again.
Author confused and broken Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 hang out on loveshack all day long lol that is what I am doing right now
White Flower Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Go for a walk and look at the sunset. Or, go early and see the sunrise. Go to the ocean or mountains on your day off. Beauty in nature really helps. I've been going to the beach every Sunday and I can't tell you how much peace it has brought me. Just listening to the big, loud waves slapping on the sand makes me and my problems seem insignificant. Call friends and family and try to see them more often. And music. Listen to really great music. Big hugs.

White Flower Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 thanks What kind of music do you listen to? I love all kinds. I love rock n roll, oldies, classics like Sinatra, Franki Valli and the 4 Seasons, some country and even pop. Whatever I'm in the mood for. Even sad songs are good for you. Dr. John Gray says 'you can heal what you can feel' so listening to a sad song that makes you cry (say Memories by Barbara Streisand) will help you get over something faster. In fact, he says you should listen to sad songs when you are sad or watch a sad movie to help you cry. You will feel 10 times better after crying. Suddenly, you feel all strong again, or even stronger than before. If it's not that bad, put on some dance music and start snappin' your fingers. U2's Joshua Tree always gets me rolling.
Antithesis Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Bike, Run, or Swim - sometimes all three - all of them make me feel wonderful afterwards.. unlike the feeling I get when I think about my ex.
