clp0691 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I met this woman 4 weeks ago, and we hit it off pretty well. We have been calling and seeing each other every day, on the third date we slept together and after sex we were lying there and she tells me that she is going on vacation with her ex-boyfriend to California for a week. That it had been planned for months before we met. We continued to see each other and I expressed my feelings that I did not want her to go, but she decided to go anyway. She says that they are going only as friends but now to the crutch of the problem. She is with him in California, he does not know about me, and she refuses to tell him because he may get mad. They are sharing a room and a bed, yet she declares that there is nothing going on. I went thru this crap with my first wife and do not feel that I should have to play second fiddle just because it my piss this guy off. All of my friends tell me that I ought to run away and do it quickly, but I would like to know what you all think, on Thursday before she left we tried to make love, but it was like I was dead below. I could not get this to be ok in my mind, if she really likes me like she says why did she have to go with him. I do not know what to do, do I wait for her to return and see how it goes or do I just say the hell with it and continue my search for someone that will put me first. I would appreciate any comments. Thanks
Explorer Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Wow, from an objective standpoint I see many red flags with your situation. 1. You've met 4 weeks ago and calling/seeing each other everyday for 4 weeks = moving way too fast. Is she a rebound to you? Or vice versa..? 2. You're telling her what she can and can't do and you never mentioned that you'll were exclusive..... 3. If you'll are exclusive, she should not be hanging out with her ex-boyfriend out of courtesy for you. Period. If she wanted to go through with seeing him, and you agreed to it (Which would be crazy), she DEFINETLY should NOT be sleeping in the same bed with him. Ex BF + sleeping in same bed = sex 99% of the time. 4. If she's telling you she is not having sex with him, she is lying (See made up but realistic stats above). 5. Why would the ex-bf be mad at HER for telling him about YOU? Hello?...... Regardless of whether or not you're exclusive, bro I would cut your cords now.
confused and broken Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Terrible terrible situation..... I can not believe she would do this to you... And worse that you would even dream of putting up with it! ex bf+ sleeping in the same bed for one full week= sex absolutely 100% of the time, no exception
