evaG Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Men and women are like cigarettes. When you first try them out, they're great. The more and more you take a hit, the more you're addicted. When it's time to "quit," you need to either cut them out cold turkey or slowly take them out of your life. Nicotine patches and gums are like the guys and girls we rebound on just to try getting the old one out of our system. Once they're completely out, you feel great. Do you guys think it's right to keep the ex (whom broke up with you) around just for company to fill up the time until you're going out of town for a month? Then after that it's NC. What do you think?
Ariadne Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 And I heard someone say, That if you stop them in the middle and light them up to continue later, they never taste the same.

Then after that it's NC. What do you think? If there is intentions on getting back together, then it could possibly be alright, possibly. But if you have no intention of getting back together, then it is just as cruel as her breaking up with you. I don't know why someone would want that "company" for a month before going NC. It can't be a good part of healing process. But thats just my opinion.
Tony T Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Do you guys think it's right to keep the ex (whom broke up with you) around just for company to fill up the time until you're going out of town for a month? Then after that it's NC. What do you think? There is nothing at all right about stringing somebody along and using them to fill time. Once you have broken up with somebody you have been romantically involved with, MAKE IT COMPLETELY O-V-E-R! Human beings aren't things to fill time. There are so many other constructive ways to spend your time anyway. If you have hurt somebody, it is cruel and misleading to spend time with them until you go out of town.
