Ive been with my current beau for 7 months now and we live an hour apart from eachother which takes its toll on our relationship, limiting our visits to weekends only, with the occasional visit during the week day.

well we recently discussed before he left for Europe a week ago, that when he gets back we should find Apts closer to each other.

I guess my main concern is that if we do move closer to eachother it will prolong a possible move in together for the future, where he will get comfortable with just coming over when he wants to hang out and vice versa.

I do want to be closer to him, and im not ready to move in with him just yet.. but i do want that to be an option for the near future.

Just keep thinking of what ifs..

I'm not a fan of the whole living together thing, depending on what you're wanting for long term. However, I don't think it would decrease the likelihood of the two of you moving in together one day. It could actually speed things up for reasons of convenience. Living close by is totally different from moving in. You may spend a lot of time at one another's apartments and say "Well, hunny, since you're over here all the time anyway..." or "When are you going to start paying me rent." :p

There are just certain conveniences when you spend so much time with a person that can, but don't always, come with simply living close to one another.
