Dark-N-Romantic Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Not unless she is 16 and gets her parents permission? How do you think Jamie Lynn's man got away with statutory? Or you could just make sure you have enough meat for the cougars out there. Or you could just deal with the womens around your age group who are into your age factor. DNR
Shygirl15 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 So tired of hearing this. It's absolute crap. In your opinion. It's a fact of life that has been around for ages. Men tend to progress slower than women. It's simply biological, and doesn't make them less intelligent or stupid. You may choose to deny it though, if that will give you a peace of mind.
rawkwell Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 For the first time in my life, I'm dating someone a year older. I've always dated much older men, and in my early 30's, I dated much younger. Now I've calmed down and am looking long term with someone who's at the same stage in life that I am.
hendersongirl Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 My boyfriend is 32, and I'm 21... For me, I've NEVER connected with people my own age. Guys or girls. Even in primary school, I preferred to chat with the teachers than the other kids. At family gatherings, I always sat around the table with the adults while the other kids went off and played. Everyone has always told me I'm exceptionally mature (probably ridiculously so), but also I'm really intelligent (IQ of 150ish, if you believe those things measure anything, but I could baffle adults with my conversation from 8 or 9), so I've always found people my own age boring (hehe poos). My boyfriend is the first person I've ever met who I feel can match me in conversation, and who is actually more intelligent than me! Plus - he can actually grow a beard, is not afraid to cry, has pubes ... A real man, not some 20 year old guy with a baby face who gets drunk and stumbes around talking **** to impress his mates. Yuck.

Yuck. I am 19 and i feel so much more mature than my friends who are all only worried about getting laid...i am about the relationship and not getting laid.. Even girls my age..i feel too mature for them...its weird...but if i were that mature..why wouldnt the girls be all over me?

It shows in your face and body. You still have many boyish rather than manly physical characteristics. At 22, the boyishness has mostly given way to manhood(although not completely).

Yea thats probally true...i am going to say i look my age though...tall and skinny...but in my mind i know i am more mature that alot of my friends and i thought girls would see that by now...guess not
Lizzie60 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 When I was much younger I used to prefer older men.. now it has changed... I prefer younger.. Then go for a much older.. they will love you.. The young girls are either looking for a sugar daddy... or a 'father' figure type of relationship...(meaning feeling more secure)... but 2-3 yrs is no big difference... it's same age IMO. Just be patient...

You would probably get along much better with older women... they have 'consistence'.. the conversation is more than the latest 'lipstick' or 'fashion'...
t_veron Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 The only part I agree with is #4, since we're semanticating our responses... In your opinion. It's a fact of life that has been around for ages. Men tend to progress slower than women. It's simply biological, and doesn't make them less intelligent or stupid. Spoken like true women who think they have it figured out. Whatever makes you sleep at night ladies. It's so predictable to see a thread where "women" love to put a guy down where in fact men try to motivate a women and help her see another point of view. I see jaded and negative women. If you were so mature you'd twist your replies to put a positive spin on things and say things like "we" work as a team. Read your post and read mine... You put men down I embrase good qualities of both. Who's more mature? My point is clear that mature people don't act like sour little girls who want to always be right.
xpaperxcutx Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 The thing about older guys is that depending on their upbringing you'll know whether they want to settle down in a relationship or not. But when you're mixed up with 19yr olds and 20 yrs the only thing they worry about is whether they can score some alcohol or pot, or when the next playstation game is coming out. I meant this for guys in general. Maturity encompasses so much more than just acting one's age, it involves security and and financial independency. I find myself attracted to guys who are stable in life, and who are not constantly bumming around on campus or at parks waiting for the next score. Someone who takes care of themselves physically and mentally meant less drama and problems. OR it could just be that in my case since I grew up from a single family, I like to find someone who can take care of me instead of the other way around.

I hate saying this but when i talk to girls my age..i get nothing close to a good or interesting conversation..always about drama and guys...i always hang with the adults and people my age just do stupid stuff.
Lizzie60 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Can I ask you something? Are you an 'only' child? if not.. are you the oldest of the children?
Author Brady_to_Moss Posted July 4, 2008 Author Posted July 4, 2008 Can I ask you something? Are you an 'only' child? if not.. are you the oldest of the children? Yes i am actually an only child.
Lizzie60 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Yes i am actually an only child. That's what I thought... you were with older people most of your life probably.. it plays a big role in your personality now.. You'll be OK.. I'm sure you'll meet the girl/woman of your dreams soon..
ShellseyB Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Seriously i never thought i would have seen myself being with an older girl, but i am just turning 23 and my ex is 38. She was beautiful and smart and funny and i can honestly say i have never loved a woman the same way i loved her. She broke up with me after christmas becuz i was an ass to her. I regret being so stupid about it becuz i know she was such a great girl and she looked so young. Sex with her was amazing. I cant even be with girls my age now not since her. She broke my heart but it was my fault. Going out with an older girl was awesome. I have begged her to take me back since january and we have hung out a few times since then but she tells me she cant be with me anymore because of my age. Younger girls come onto me at work all the time but as much as they look good i compare them to her and she was the one for me. I think about her and dream about her and cant get her out of my head. evrytime i see long blonde hair i think of her. my friends tell me how stupid i am for letting her go and i couldnt agree more. This girl will always be that one that got away.

MaxManwell Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Its because a lot of if not most young girls are useless morons who cannot hold useful jobs and they know it. So they attach themselves to older powerful men who are actually useful so that they can feel validated without ever having to do any actual work. They depend on men for almost everything. This occurs in almost all facets of life not just sex. Women are weak little suck ups who have no sense of honor or working hard that exists among men. So the easy way for them to take as step up is to take a step down for an older man. Usually after a few glasses of cheap champagne, because that is what mature people drink. In short women will dive for the first available penis if they think it will give them a step up in the world or some material gain. Older men more often that not will provide that for them. I hope that clears things up but I must say that it is a certain type of woman that goes for older men. The same type that is likely to become a prostitute, or a stripper, or use her body to make money in other ways. A lot of women are just whores at heart.

I dont feel THAT harsh to women but sometimes i just dont get em... oh well...only time will tell
