So one of my best friends got back with her ex boyfriend (check my other posts in the forum) and I talked to her early this morining and well, didn't fall back asleep well and am still fired up from what she told me.

She just got over a migraine after her boyfriend was yelling at her for a few hours because his dad yelled at him.....and now this guy has got me fired up...NEVER I think should you ever yell at a girlfriend/wife for hours on end over probably something stupid becasue you got yelled at...that's just wrong. I don't like seeing my friends treated like trash becasue someone else is having a bad day...deal with it !

Any ideas on how to handle this guy ?? I'm not gonna fight him.

You can't really handle the guy but you can set some healthy emotional limits around your friendship, even if they are just 'internal boundaries'.

Basically, promise yourself that you will not get all worked up over the seemingly stupid decisions that other people make. Your best friend is choosing her own experience (migraines and whatever else), if she decides to put up with such crap from this guy.

But you don't have to get emotionally wrung out -- just say you're sorry about her migraine or problem, and that you cannot do anything more for her...but call you if/when she is looking for ways to get out of her situation - you'll be happy to brainstorm that with her.
