My boyfriend and I broke up last week...he said he lost the "love feeling" ROP

We were suppsoed to be moving in together, but he (and his dad) decided that because of practicality we shouldn't. We also had a HUGE fight, which he said was responsible for him not loving me anymore. He didn't even want to take a break because he said that he didn't believe in them. And I'm certain there is no one else. When I was kissing his face while we were breaking up, he looked like he was going to cry...

 

I am SO hurt and even more bewildered. THings were great before then. He kept telling me he loved me and I really believed him. Love is not just a feeling that you can just switch on and off. Part of me is hoping that he was just getting cold feet about greater commitment and that he'll be back, but...I don't know. I'm so heartbroken.

 

We broke up on Thursday and I called him on Sunday but he didn't pick up and nohting since then...

Man that sucks! Don't worry about his dad's part in things. If he really wanted to move in with you he wouldn't take that into consideration. If he just wasn't ready to move in, he would have told you that and stayed with you.

 

Don't call him or be there for him. Move on with your life and let him miss you. I would be very wary of you ever letting him come back after saying that but...I know how difficult it is.

 

In either case, your worst action would be to call him and show him that you are still hanging around waiting.

If he can break up with you over a fight, he will do it again. And again. And again. Until finally one day you realise what was great about your relationship has been killed by the constant breakups and you wish you had not fought it the first time.
