kylealone Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 My girl friend broke up with me over two months ago and it still is hard to deal with, 16 months ago I lost my wife of 23 years to cancer and 7 months later I started to date this girl that I knew about for quit a long time but was not friends with. After about 4 months she started to start telling my son and me what to do and was being controlling. I had let most of it pass by but one day she had really got after me and I got upset and when we started to talk about it she said that I was trying to change her and control her life and she was worried that things were going to turn out like her last relationship witch was with a controlling man so she says, that was 12 years ago. I went out for dinner yesterday with my family and she came into the restaurant, it was her birthday and started to talk to my family like they where her best friends. I live in a small town and see her driving around almost every day. I have been to the doctor for medication but I doesn’t seem to help. I don’t know what to do it seems that life isn’t worth living any more.
backto1 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I can't even begin to imagine the pain you've been through but life is worth living. You at least will want to stick around for your son who's probably been through hell and back too. It will take time but you'll get better again...16 months isn't a super long time after something as devastating as that.
