Jake Barnes Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 At 50 you won't say that... Then you'll want much younger.. trust me... I'm 56 (in a few days) and I want younger .. not older... now that's ewwww...I know you're not into lifetime partnerships for your own preference, but most are and I was curious about your thoughts Do you think its the most natural that the partners be within the same range (within a decade) or that the woman be older by a decade or more or that the man be older Or do you think it doesnt make a difference at all?

It doesn't really make any difference... unless the partners are looking for long term relationships.. THEN I don't believe in big age gaps..( 15 yrs +) between the partners.. I don't believe in lifetime partnership in partners within the same range.. imagine when there's a big gap... no.. not at all.. chances are extremely slim that it will work for men or women... (some have but they are 'rare').
CaliGuy Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 If both people are emotionally mature, age shouldn't matter.
BentSpine Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Well, we must define what we mean by 'work'. Regardless of how long a relationship lasts, if the people in it were happy I would say it was a successful relationship. And only they know how loving they act towards each other when they are alone.
