About 11 days after the event where I had finally had enough of my pathetic behavior and attempts to contact her and declared lifelong NC she comes sniffing around to see whats up. Just like I knew she would. I am glad that I had a major "get over her" breakthrough since then and the fact that I just started seeing a new woman certainly helps.

I sent the call right to voicemail as I knew the number and then listened to the message. She was wondering if there was any mail at the house. (You've been gone for over a month, could you not put in a change of address at the post office? I took care of your affairs for years and I am certainly not going to continue now. It's all been marked return to sender.... be responsible for your own **** for once.). Said she would be at the restaurant across the street for the next hour or so. (She means the bar, but since she supposedly stopped drinking she won't call it that.) Asked me to text her if I could drop the mail off.

Anyways I deleted the message and am not responding in any way.

I have my own life now. She ****ed up. She screwed me over and hurt me and didn't care when I tried to reach out to her. Tough luck. You don't get to hear my voice anymore, you don't get to see me, you don't get to know me. It's far too late for that.

Don't call me ever again. Seriously, to see if there is any mail? Deal with your own responsibilities. Just go away.

Good for you V! I to had a similiar situation with the mail thing! She still has some catalogs and her car payment is still sent here! It's been almost four months WTF!

We work together, so I have been taking her **** and putting it in her locker at work! Well she took a temprorary voluntary layoff, so she is not there to get her mail! Being the honorable man I am (lol) I asked a co-worker and a mutual friend of ours to let her know that she has mail in her locker.

So our co-worker say's she will just text her and tell her that she has it and she can pick it up at her house! Ok so the next day my ex texts me and say's ( I hate to bother you, but ****** said you had some mail for me, and I was just wondering if you could tell me what it was??) Ha Ha again WTF, if you want to know what kind of mail you got then ask your friend!!! Don't bother me with this nonsense!

You are not my responsibility anymore!! I don't owe you anything!!! Leave me alone get your addressed changed!!!! WTF!!!!!

Fast forward to today and I have another peice of mail for her! I am going to write on it PLEASE HAVE YOUR ADDRESS CHANGED!!! Gonna give it to the co-worker. BY the way I haven't contacted her since she dumped me, and I don't intend to! I am proud of myself!!!

You know the thing that is really funny about the mail text is when she said I hate to bother you!!!! Because a couple weeks earlier she didn't mind bothering me when she texts and said she was marrying the man of her dreams!!! Or when she texts a week later and say's that she is 5 weeks pregnant!! Ha Ha sucks to be you, or should I say sucks to be the fool who knocked you up, because you are now attached to her for the rest of your life and believe me you are in for a world of hurt buddy!!!

I guess I should really be thanking this guy for taking her off of my hands!! Ha Ha SUCKER!!!!

They all do it when they think we are getting over them. My ex did the same but I answered and I wish I hadn't. She dumped me, why does she still want to talk to me ?

Finally! A good one! Good job, man! <HIGH FIVE>

**** HER!

Oh, my ex's mail went right in the TRASH. EVERY DAY. Important **** and all.

I finally just told the mailman that she moved in with some other guy, and I had been throwing her mail in the trash, and I didn't need to see anymore of it. I'm buddies with the mailman, so it's all good.

That's true. They seem to know exactly when to contact. I think it is one of life's mysteries. I have to believe that much of it has to do with respect, or lack there of. It is often just a selfish act on their part. Seldomly will they ever do it with your feelings first. Not all obviously, but many exes don't like N/C very much. :D

i know how painful that can be, once an ex starts realizing you're slipping out of their control and aren't grieving for them anymore they reach back to try to suck you in. it makes them feel better. but i'm proud of you for staying strong :)

Good work V. Definitely of the right mindset.

sounds like a hook to keep you just where they want, when they need you to be available. Or as sid suggests, it's just selfishness on their part, be it ex GF or ex BF ...

next time she corners you, ask, "I'm sorry, you are?"
