Over the past four years, I have developed a bad reputation that just follows me everywhere. I have built up the reputation of a man who lures women in with his limited charm, gets his wicked way and drops these infatuated women at the drop of a hat. I also have a reputation of being lightweight binge drinker, who goes all stupidly happy and loud when drunk, or at times becomes quite aggressive. Before I became somewhat Metrosexual in taking care of my appearance, I was scruffy, I dressed like I had just walked through Krist Novoselic's warddrobe. I have also have a reputation of being that school dork, weirdo, freak and a class clown in my later years.

I'm basically referred to as a scruffy, weird, womanizer, who can't handle his alcohol. I've changed a lot, my appearance has changed, I still have my dorky, weird, eccentric side to me, and my funny side, too. But I really want to stop using women for sex, and get into a meaningful relationship.

No woman with half a brain cell in her head would touch me and I want a decent woman. But my past seems to threaten any chance I might have with a woman.

I don't want to seen as a scruffy, party animal, who sleeps with any woman he can, but I want to be seen in a new light, I believe people can change and I have changed, I changed the day I lost a woman who I now miss like crazy.

So how can I convince people I have changed? I have a date on saturday with a girl I met in a store, and I get the distinct impression, that once she finds out about my past, she'll go NC on me and I won't hear from her again.

In my opinion the only way to change a reputation is to gain a new one, and the only way to do that is act and be how you want to be perceived from now on. It might take a long time but if you're going to be a 'new person' and want to stop being a womanizer eventually the rep will wear off.

And until then, if there's really a chance a new girl is gona find out about your past somehow then just be honest with her, that you used to be one way but now you've changed. If she runs a mile then that's her choice, I think people have a right to know about their partners past to a certain extent. But you'll find someone who will understand that people change, and as long as you don't screw up you should be alrite.

You say you're scruffy and a metrosexual...I don't understand. Aren't metrosexual dudes the ones that get manicures, gel their hair, remove calouses and stuff like that?

Now why would you say no girl with half a brain cell would touch you?

If you're doing the things that you need to be doing while you are with her, why would she be so concerned about your past?
