4givrnt4gtr Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 So, lately ive been dealing with my best friend getting closer...MUCH closer than I ever expected. We've been friends for 4 years and through those years ive often had a feeling he liked me but he usually would end up going out with other people. Anyway lately though he's made some advances. The last advance he made (when we were both drunk) we ended up making out. Now...I know he doesnt want a relationship, as he just got out of a 3 year long one. So bassically im thinking he wants to become FWB...which he knows its not acceptable to me. Its either friend, or boyfriend, i dont mess around. Now, he has not been the only guy friend who has wanted to take our friendship to FWB...but it seems that thats all they want from me. Even one of the guys that I dated asked if we could instead be FWB. Why is this? Im not slutty by any stretch of the imagination...and these guys have been really really good friends, so its not like we met and they just want a hook up. I guess its like they want the friendship AND the physical, but no commitment past that. What makes a girl FWB material but no more than that? This trend is starting to upset me.
BentSpine Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 What makes a girl FWB material but no more than that? A feeling that one hasn't found his/her companion in the friend. Or, to put more bluntly, you don't cause enough good feelings in the other.
