ioncebelieved Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I think it has been mentioned on here about how great the movie "Swingers" is! I have seen it many times in the past, but at the time I was not going through pain like now. The movie really is like watching your life unfold on screen. As it continues you see this character Mike, go through agony and pain about his ex-girl. I mean if you weren't hurting, you would think he was a little bitch. But since you hurt it makes complete sense. Mike's friend Rob, is truly inspirational!!! He is always listening to Mike being a true friend giving him advice (BUT REALLY HE IS GIVING US ADVICE.. PAY ATTENTION AND YOU WILL SEE). Mike's other friend, Trent is more the ego builder for Mike. If you have not seen it, rent it, steal it, do whatever it takes a watch the damn thing!!! SPOILER ALERT********************************************** What hits home for me and it will you too is when at the end, Mike's ex finally calls him and tries to get back with him, but by that time, Mike has met another girl. The old adage come true, they come back when you stop thinking of them. I hope this rings true for me.... At least I want the option of what I would do with her. At last to hold the trump card would be nice. Great movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kizik Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Made sucks. It's an awful movie. Swingers I watched last weekend for the millionth time. I loved it. "Somehow they know not to come back until you really don't care anymore."
MalachiX Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I've lost count at the number of times I've prayed my EX wouldn't call me. After everything that's happened, I know it wouldn't work but I also know I'm still probably too weak to just blow her off. It would no doubt screw with my head and, if I was starting a new relationship, probably screw it up.
LikeCharlotte Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 "Somehow they know not to come back until you really don't care anymore."I really don't care. I don't even care if this is true. I don't care if he's f****** every woman in his whole town. I don't care if he still loves me. I don't care because I know he lost me and wether or not that means anything to him doesn't matter because I know it. I'd like him to be nice someday but I don't care if he continues on this way. I like the guy, he's good people (usually, but who is perfect?) but I don't care. Movies make love so idealistic. He wouldn't come back if the future of mankind depended on it. I still don't care.
The Y Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I finally got around to watching this movie again today. Oh man, I forgot how great this movie was! Then I watched "Made" immediately afterwards. I thought that one sucked before, but right after "Swingers", it was great! I recommend both.
