cargirl Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Hi, I see people all the time when I'm driving in my car on the way to work (on the freeway!!). Sometimes there's eye contact but eventually one of us will exit and then I'll be all alone again. Has anyone every successfully met someone while driving? It's such a shame we're all alone in our cars - after all, it could be a carpool! We're going the same way..
endlesstrains Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 It doesn't seem really physically feasible... how could you meet someone in another car on the highway? That doesn't make much sense. On a train or bus on the other hand...
BrooklynBridge Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I meet women all the time when I commute. But I live in NYC and take the subway all the time, so it's a lot easier than a car.......
Enema Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Probably a good idea for a website. People can do shoutouts to people they saw while driving. Have it divided by city / highway even and off ya go.

Have it divided by city / highway even and off ya go. They already have this. People contact each other via their license plates... I was once in the backseat of a car on a biz trip. Another car pulled up on the right. The driver was making eyes at me. As the light was about to turn, he rolled down his window, and passed me his business card.

Ya, CL already does something like that in the "missed connections" part. I met an exboyfriend on the highway. He was quite sneaky, it was he and a friend and myself and a girfriend we were driving back from some club and the boys' car pulled up next to us and started chatting us up the driver asked what club we are at and we told him and he said he had seen me on the dancefloor. They were insisiting on going for coffee but I just wanted to get home and my g/f was game to go but I was not so they kept insisting we all get together so my g/f gave them my phone number (I could have killed her) anyway the driver called me and he sounded great on the phone and he called me many times until I caved and we met up. We totally hit it off. I found out on our first date they had not been at the club we were at at all, he just used that as an excuse to ease me into meeting him again. The bugger... We went out for 2 yrs + but it didn't work out.
