London Girl Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I met a guy via internet dating - we chatted for 3 weeks and then we met up on Saturday so it's only been about 5 days since we have met in person. We both got on and decided we are happy to go on a second date. After my disastarous previous 2 guys I met on the internet, I am cautious with this one and want to take things slowly. He seems genuine, texts me every day, he travelled 5 hours by train to see me and he is seeing me again next week. He has not told any of his family or friends that he is doing internet dating or that he has been on a date with me. I think where he is from they are not as open with the use of internet dating and I feel he may feel quite embarrass by it (i.e. he says he will call me but does not when he is with family or friends) I am happy to just date him and see where it goes but when is the right time to approach the subject of if we are officially exclusive? I know he has not logged on his dating site since he has met me. When should I invite him to meet my friends etc. I must admit I feel a little apprehensive that he has not even told his friends that he has been on a date with me so I hope he is not embarrass by me or have something to hide. Perhaps I've become too cynical with men recently ...
