It might help if you know a little bit about our group of friends. Long term marriages, Pretty open in sex conversations, quite frankly the topic most yakked about, everyone does a lot of at home nudity and really into sex play in the marriages.

My buddy asked his wife and knowing her she has no prob with him asking, if she would have sex with another close friend in our group. I know he'd like it to happen. He asked me what she ment by her answer of "No it would kill me."

Geez forgive us men out here but I have no clue either what that ment.

Based on his wife's reply, she sounds like she has no desire at all to have sex with one of their close friends in any fashion. Being open to talk about sex with friends and being open and free at home is one thing, taking it to the next level with the same group of people.....sounds like she doesn't want any part of that. Just my 2 cents.

It sounds like she would feel guilty. Even knowing your SO is OK with it doesn't mean that you will be. that is making your vows invalid. I agree that talking openly about sex is worlds away from sleeping with other people. To men that line is less clear then it is to women. You guys should probably drop that particular subject before it becomes an issue for her.

I also agree that having open conversations about sex and being nude at home and enjoying sex with your spouse is a far, far cry from swinging. Maybe it's a generational thing, but all my friends are quite frank and open about talking about sex as well.

"No, it would kill me" seems like a pretty straightforward answer to me. No, I won't have sex with this other dude, it would make me feel exceptionally bad.

C'mon now, what's your real question  ? Because her answer seems pretty clear in both its intent and consequence. Is there another agenda at work here?

Her answer looks pretty straight forward to me. NO!

"No it would kill me."

Come on, it's straight forward man! It means Hell no! It would hurt me too bad.

Like the other posters have said, it means NOOOO!!!!!

Just an observation, but are you interested in this kind of thing as well?

When people say men are thick it isn't actually meant in the true sense it is an of the cuff remark, However in this case:laugh:

Seriously the word "No" kind of gives it away and "it would kill me" is quite simply, it would destroy my soul and self esteem.

Were you the close friend ?? and why on earth do you need to do this???

What are you really asking??

Tell your buddy to drop this immediately.

I would be very frank and open about my sexuality etc with our friends but if my husband asked me to sleep with one of our friends he would feel the pain for a very long time as well as the lengthy opp to have my shoe removed from his body:D

Each to their own I guess though:confused::confused:

There are stupid women, and there are seriously stupid women...but NO stupid woman, no matter how freakin' seriously stupid she is, is going to buy that you (and your stupid buddy) do NOT understand that answer.

[signed] A seriously stupid woman.

Is it that you don't understand the answer or that it wasn't the answer you and your friend were looking for?

If your friend really didn't understand, wouldn't it have made sense for him to ask his wife for clarification?

Thanks for the responses for sure.

It wasn't the no that was perplexing it was the "it would kill me" portion.

Ive known them for the 25 yrs they've been married, he and I both wouldnt have guessed her saying something like that as sexually open as she is. Some of the responses posted really do make sense.
