daphne Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I have had 4 very bad experiences with Geminis; the most troublesome zodiac sign of all. Geminis for me is a no-go area. They like freedom, I like to posses. They never understood why I'm jealous, I wanted them to understand that I'm jealous because I love them. Didn't work. I have reached a point to where, before I decide to date anyone, I have to check my compatibility with their signs, so save myself confusions and heartaches later on. I have settled with a Taurean who doesn't mind when I ask questions, do spy work on him, get jealous or possesive, because he does the same. What I have learned so far: Geminis: scared of commitment, very undecided, have 2 faces, strange people in general Actually, I think Geminis have the best sign of the zodiac. Followed by libras and leos. Of course they're all pretty compatible too. Yes, geminis are somewhat scared of commitment and fickle, but once they know that they can have their freedom, they do commit. From the many geminis I know, most aren't cheaters. They just like to have the feeling that they're free to come and go. I'm a very loyal gemini, but I know that I'm somewhat in the minority (not talking about cheating). I actually like scorpions even if we're not compatible signs. You guys are fairly intense and loyal people. However, your dark side is a bit spooky/depressing.
Trialbyfire Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Hey answer, I'm a Cap too. Highly compatible: Taurus and Scorpio. Moderate compatibility: Aquarius, Pisces and Virgo. Good for a fling: Libra, Cancer and Aries Run for the hills: Sagittarius, Leo and Gemini What I found funny was that my ex-H was a Libra. Hey, I had a 6+ year fling. Btw, I don't take this stuff seriously. It can be a lot of fun though!
Author Shygirl15 Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 I am interested in hearing more Taurus men stories...if anyone has more anecdotes about Taurus men please share. Sugarkiss, if you're interested in a strong relationship, a man that has your back, a man that provides for both of you, reliable, loyal, no cheating whatsoever, every thing good, just name it, then go for a Taurus boy. However, once a relationship is established, they can be jealous and possessive at times. I have these same qualities, so really, sometimes I like it when he checks up on me. They, basically, like commitment, not a wishy washy kind of thing. I'm up for the same, so for me this is a good match.
Meaplus3 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 That's so cool TBF that your a Capricorn. Hmmmm..I honestly would have guessed that ( compliment) Ok.. I am now taking over a thread here, so enough out of me.. before I have some crazy Aries, Virgo, Scorpin, ect.. on my tail. AP:)
allina Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Interesting thread. I'm not much in to astrology, don't read my horoscope but I decided to never date another gemini man a few years ago. I don't know if it was astrology related or coincidence but I find gemini men so difficult. I'm a taurus, I don't know what sign I am compatible with but my SO is a capricorn and that works well
Author Shygirl15 Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 I'm a scorpio, too, and I've had great luck with Cancers. Like Starting Over again said, I feel safe with them. Things just seem to be free and easy with Cancers. I have heard Cancer ties with Aries as our best match.. but.. As for Aries...I've always heard that's a terrible match with scorpio. that's new
Author Shygirl15 Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 I dated one. In Taurus's defense however, I think he has mad cow disease. You MUST be a Gemini!! :lmao:
underpants Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 You MUST be a Gemini!! :lmao: No. However, I have shared a mutual respect with any known geminis I have dealt with. Maybe Airs share a kindred respect for each other. You scorps though. You can be quite underhanded and deceptive, and you think it makes you attractive. Maybe it does to some others. I just recognize. Every scorp I have know has cheated or lied, or played some silly mind game. Like I said some much older ones regret some of this and "evolve" a bit. Whatever. You guys are intelligent. I'll give you that. A few Taurus I've know also have cheated and lied. They just aren't as good at it. Some don't though and are loyal. There is a childish selfishness there and I guess that can play out individually. I don't rule my life and interactions with others by birth signs. However, I do look at past behaviors and current attitudes to gauge further interactions with people.

I wouldn't really associate that with zodiac signs behaviours.

I have just relayed my experiences and observations on the topic of your thread.
SugarKiss Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Hey, Underpants, I think lying and cheating are just human beings behaviours. We all do that at some point. I wouldn't really associate that with zodiac signs behaviours. I know I was thinking the same thing. I have never cheated on anyone and I have been known to tell the odd lie here and there who hasn't? I am a scorpio and can safely say I don't relate to those comments though the underhanded thing ya I can relate, we can be quite sneaky and we are always reaching for the bottom line even when we have hit the absolute bottom we want to go futher. cheating can be of any sign, it has less to do with a zodiac sign and more to do with moral character. some people have had a few bad personal experiences and now a whole sector of people born in oct/nov are bad people. I have just relayed my experiences and observations on the topic of your thread. seems more like you have related a whole sign to your few experiences.

No. I would love to know a awesome scorpio. I do know one. After long years of underhand tactics and by her own admission, but still it is there. I guess she likes me. Why do you guys do that? I guess I don't get it. Maybe that is why I have never been romantically attracted to one and usually put off by them unknowingly then later it kind of made sense. It probably goes the other way to. No biggie. Someone once told me that Aquas and Scorps are two sides of the same coin. That might be true. Heads or tails?

Heads or tails? can you explain long years of underhand tactics? not sure I understood what you meant by that? I have never dated a male scorpio, not sure I could handle the male version of me. LOL oh and I don't really know any aquariuses either come to think of it...hmmmmm I'm on a mission now..
Star Gazer Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Taureans: true lovers, loyal and committed. Why thank you!

underpants Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 seems more like you have related a whole sign to your few experiences. Well, you asked for experiences. I gave mine. I know it doesn't mean anything in the larger spectrum. I am just entertaining the topic. oh and I don't really know any aquariuses either come to think of it...hmmmmm I'm on a mission now.. Well, hello. Weirdosly, I have a scorpio as well as a taurus sister. They are cool and we all call each other out on our shortcomings. Maybe it is a blessing to have such diverse personalities in the same family. Parents are leo and sag. What a bunch huh? My taurus sister was treated very badly by a scorp. He was an arse to be sure. She is now married to a Libra. My Scorp sister was treated very badly by a Taurus. She is now 12+ years married to a Sag. However, she does admit that she would not have deserved him if she had not checked her underhanded ego at the door. Just relaying what she admitted. She is way into astrology and all that metaphysical stuff. I have been baited by several T's and S's in my life. I just don't understand the game playing there. However, my wisdom have just let me, like I said, recognize. Caps are cool and Cancers always break my heart. Ha, maybe I should write my own analysis like that headless zebra post from a long time ago. That was so funny, and it was a scorpio that wrote it. I agreed with most of it. Anyway, peace to all.
the_blur Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Ok, the post below is pretty rough on astrology fans, so if you're going to cry when someone gives their honest opinion, move along ... quick! The fact that everyone is discussing astrology as if it were real, truly truly diminishes my opinion of human intelligence in general. It completely confirms my annoying, smug sense of superiority. Usually it's reserved for adults with imaginary friends (read: the religious) but this is also crazy. To make a life changing decision on the data provided by a technique invented by people who used to cut holes in patients' skulls to let the evil spirits float out is exceedingly unwise (to put it in the mildest way I can think of without resorting to using the F word with "moronic" directly after). Astrology has _time and again_ failed to provide data better than chance. Please, please, please see: http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/astrology.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias http://psychicinvestigator.com/demo/AstroSkc.htm http://www.imprint.co.uk/pdf/Dean.pdf It's especially heartbreaking to me to see women so enamored of this stupid irrational way of putting people in boxes, mainly because it's mostly women that I see doing it and it gives me a bad impression of them. Like they are irrational and not to be trusted with serious matters, (mind you I feel the same way toward religious people). It is a mark that something is broken inside their minds. What happens to astrology now that pluto is no longer a planet? (I guess we can't break it if it never worked!) But seriously, any takers? See? I am being a jackass to the whole lot of you credulous people. What's my sign? (Points if you don't just guess ... oh wait, that's all you _can_ do!) ps: I sincerely apologize for pooping on your parade. =( But I just couldn't shake my head, smile and click away ...
underpants Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 What's my sign? (Points if you don't just guess ... oh wait, that's all you _can_ do!) When were you born?

It completely confirms my annoying, smug sense of superiority. Usually it's reserved for adults with imaginary friends (read: the religious) but this is also crazy. I'm usually skeptical when it comes to these things but it's hard to be when you read a description of characteristics and find yourself go "Yep, that's me".

The guys doing the drilling/cutting didn't buy into that one little bit. The whole "letting out evil spirits" was just a cover story to placate the masses. They were just giving Darwinism a boost by thinning out the herd a little. I have to give them full credit - it worked! What happens to astrology now that pluto is no longer a planet? (I guess we can't break it if it never worked!) But seriously, any takers?I'm still mad about that one! What the heck did poor Pluto do to be demoted? What, did it start bumping into Neptune? Did it ask to be traded to another solar system?
sailing Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I'm usually skeptical when it comes to these things but it's hard to be when you read a description of characteristics and find yourself go "Yep, that's me". Totally agree! Then again, maybe it's a chicken/egg thing: We usually become aware of our star sign in late childhood or early teens - a time when we are already looking for our identity and what defines and sets us apart as individuals. After all, everyone likes reading about "themselves" - perhaps we simply take on board what we read and subconsciously magnify the starsign-specific aspects of ourselves, at the expense of other character traits? Just my theory.

You know what's ironic? the fact that you felt compelled to point out how beneath some of us are in intelligence, for entertaining Astrology as a means of diversion. and you did this in an attempt to prove your own superiority in grey matter. but here's the big twist, if we are really lower in standards of intelligence what does that say about you that you feel so moved to "one up" us of all people, we the lowest forms of intelligence with all these facts you summoned for this argument? hmmmm...I think it would have looked better on you to shake your head and move along, but that's just me, in my own "stupidity" and all...that's exactly what I would have done. nothing says "this is so NOT beneath me" than trying to engage in a battle if the wits in a situation with people you find out of your intellectual scope. PS we're just having fun, lighten up you are taking this thread way too seriously man. Due to your overly analytical and regimented nature that takes the wind out of anyone's sails, basically you don't know how to have fun, you must be a Virgo!
Trialbyfire Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Frivolity is fun! Relax and enjoy it, once in awhile. Life isn't always about axe murders and famine.
