Yes, but he was also a virgin until he was 35. Not a slam, Carhill, as I am sure you had your reasons, but to the OP, the point is that Carhill was a very late bloomer in a lot of arenas...

Duh, Carhill, I'm sorry but can't seem to get over this fact..:):)

It was a problem for her Jilly, but not one that would lead to the ending of the relationship. It wasn't a deal buster by a long shot.

As for myself, I didn't see it as a problem, rather it was just the way I was/am.

It would be like criticizing me for being white, or having light brown hair.

Some people are more emotional, more communicative while others are not.

Who's to say which is right or wrong?

Oh, agreed! Two people that are happy together not being overly intimate and sharing are perfectly happy. BUT, the OP posted because she was distressed that she could NOT get close to this man, and it was cause for concern.

And I'd date you merely because you're 6'2"... ;)

Hey, it's not about me, OK? :D :D

BTW, part of the reason I waited so long was, as JB noted, I desired (and still desire) a deep emotional symbiosis with a partner and felt all the contacts I had were in no danger of ever getting there, so I didn't really feel sexual with those women. It's also an issue for my wife and I (disparate emotional centers). I'm reading here with interest :)
