shadowplay Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I know everyone's preferences are different, but do you guys think I'm too thin? http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/963/meaq3.jpg I like the weight I'm at now, but sometimes other people make comments like "you're so skinny" and it kind of disturbs me.
Carmen87 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 No, I don't think so. I am about that size as well, maybe just a tad smaller. I get people making comments like that too, I just ignore it because mostly they are jealous.
BrooklynBridge Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Not too thin at all. No one ever is, lol. You look you have a hard body! +1
Tony T Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Your body would not be classified thin at all, most likely average (even taking into consideration the fact that the camera has perhaps added a little weight to you). Unfortunately, MORE THAN FIFTY PERCENT of people in the U.S. are preobese or simply obese. You certainly aren't in those categories. Continue doing EXACTLY what you're doing!
AriaIncognito Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I'd be more interested in seeing a picture that was straight on, and included showing your collarbone area. It's easy to try to look heavier in a pic if it's wanted. I think you have a cute body but personally I prefer my women and men to have a little meat on them. Not overweight per se, but curvy or whatever.

Not overweight per se, but curvy or whatever. It's possible to be classified as thin and still be curvy. I am 120 lbs at 5'5 which is fairly thin, but I have serious curves in the waist to hip, chest, and butt area. I hate that curvy is only ever applied to women who have a bit of extra weight on them.
carhill Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 A better question would be why are you taking ISM's in a public bathroom? Objectively, no, you are not too thin. Personally, if you were my wife and asking for my honest opinion, I'd like you with 10 or 15 more pounds on your bones, but that's my personal preference. The important thing is how do you feel at your current weight. Are you happy with your body image?

Author shadowplay Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Where do you guys think I need more meat on my bones? I won't be offended. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for.
Stockalone Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I like the weight I'm at now, but sometimes other people make comments like "you're so skinny" and it kind of disturbs me. If you are healthy and like your weight, there is no reason to change it. You do look very thin, but not anorexic or anything. That picture reminds me a bit of Anne Hathaway by the way. Having said that, you certainly wouldn't look fat if you gained a few pounds. But that would just be a personal preference.
Author shadowplay Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 I don't know...because when I'm heavier it seems like I put on weight in the wrong places. I just don't feel that I look as good. When I'm at the weight I am now, I get the feeling people think I'm too thin. It depends so much. My current bf likes me at this weight, in fact maybe a bit thinner. Another bf thought I was too thin. Another bf liked my exact weight. So it's hard to go by other's preferences. But then if I go by my own, it's also confusing. There are pluses and minuses to different weights. I like the way clothes fit best at this weight, but being heavier may look better in another sense. I used to monitor my eating, but I haven't for awhile. I think I'm pretty healthy.
carhill Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Where do you guys think I need more meat on my bones? I won't be offended. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. I'd need a frontal view, as well as a height number, to provide a proper opinion, but I'll take a stab at it anyway... My main area of interest is upper body. No, I'm not talking "the girls" . I'm thinking shoulders and arms. My bet is, when you gain weight, these areas stay relatively the same. It takes some redirection, like weight training, to focus more energy and bulk on those areas. Also, waist to hip ratio. Absent the appropriate ethnic features, you look remarkably like one of my old female friends who's Asian. She's 5'4" and about 105lbs (back in the day) but had a great shape and looked fabulous in a bikini, even well into her 30's. I always was afraid I'd break her when giving her a hug though; perhaps just a perception on my part. I would opine that, objectively, you would physically appeal to a large segment of the male population. I wouldn't be too concerned about BF's tweeking the minutia of your appearance. How you feel is the important thing.
Author shadowplay Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Regarding my height. I thought I was 5'6", but measured at the doctor a few days ago as 5'5". My weight is fluctuates between 115 and 120.
Tony T Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Where do you guys think I need more meat on my bones? I won't be offended. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. YOU have to be happy with YOURSELF. Giving a lot of weight to the opinions of anonymous people you've never met based on a photo rather than relying on your own opinion is not very good. If you feel good, have a good image of yourself...you are just fine. Living according to the specifications of others is the true path to unhappiness and destruction.
carhill Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I thought I was 5'6", but measured at the doctor a few days ago as 5'5". My weight is fluctuates between 115 and 120. In that case, I'd say you photograph well That means that the camera doesn't add weight for you. I would've guessed lower on the weight number...
Author shadowplay Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Do you guys think larger breasts would fill out my figure better? I've vaguely considered implants from time to time. Be honest.

I would've guessed lower on the weight number... If anything this particular camera seems to decrease my apparent weight, so I'm not surprised that your estimates were slightly off.
carhill Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 If you've gained weight in the past, do your breasts get larger? Some women I've known say they do and some, like my wife, don't. I would say, if you're in your 20's (can't remember, sorry) and they do, I'd leave them alone for now (personally for me, forever, but I'm trying to be objective). Too much of a "good thing" can be too much, and the weight of the implants and your natural breast tissue can alter your spinal configuration and posture. A close female friend had hers reduced just for those reasons.

You are right, but the problem is I don't know what weight I'm happy with.
carhill Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Put your scale away and don't use it for 3 months. Go strictly by how you feel. Sometimes we're our own worst critics.
Stockalone Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I don't know...because when I'm heavier it seems like I put on weight in the wrong places. I just don't feel that I look as good. Another bf thought I was too thin. Another bf liked my exact weight. So it's hard to go by other's preferences. You shouldn't go by other's preferences. It's only important how you feel about your body and weight (as long as that weight isn't detrimental to your health). Which I don't think it is in your case. As you can see in this thread and as you have experienced first hand, different guys will have different opinions about your "ideal" weight. But then if I go by my own, it's also confusing. There are pluses and minuses to different weights. I like the way clothes fit best at this weight, but being heavier may look better in another sense. That is what you will have to decide. You are the one living in that body. I used to monitor my eating, but I haven't for awhile. I think I'm pretty healthy. I didn't mean to imply that you weren't healthy or that you should monitor your eating. I also don't think that you are underweight. If you really where considered too thin in an unhealthy way, I believe that your family doctor or any other doctor you may have seen recently would have mentioned it. Where do you guys think I need more meat on my bones? I won't be offended. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. As carhill already mentioned, those few extra pounds some of us guys wouldn't mind, are merely our personal preference. There is no need to add more meat. You already look gorgeous the way you are. and I am certain that the head attached to that body is not only clever but also pretty. Don't worry so much about what others think. Do you guys think larger breasts would fill out my figure better? I've vaguely considered implants from time to time. Be honest. Why on earth would you consider implants? Given your height and weight info along with your picture, that would make you a C-cup? I am a breast men, and to me, they look great the way they are.
BrooklynBridge Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Do you guys think larger breasts would fill out my figure better? I've vaguely considered implants from time to time. Be honest. No. Bad idea. You have a nice tight body, and judging by that pic, you have a great chest proportionate to your body. Take it from a guy, implants *may* look good with clothes on, but they are bad news, personally, I really disliked implants on the few women I've been with that have them....so, disingenuous on a number of levels.

A close female friend had hers reduced just for those reasons. They get somewhat larger. Problem is so do other parts of me...like my waist. I wish all the weight would go to the right places, but unfortunately that's not the case. That is why I'm hesitant to gain weight.
whichwayisup Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 You look fine to me. As long as you're healthy and feeling good, then who cares if someone thinks you're too thin. Chances are, those people who are telling you that you're too thin are jealous and are wishing they had a nice body like you! Be happy with what you have! Don't let ANYONE make you feel bad or doubt how you look. Editted to add: Your boobs are fine, well porportioned for your body. DO NOT get breast implants! If you want to enhance them, all you have to do is get a bra that will help.
