Ignorant&Innocent Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I know it's kinda a mean thing to say, but how do you get away from girls who keep trying to flirt with you? I always thought it only went one way. I thought that the girls were always being pestered by guys not the other way around. I had no idea girls flirt so much. It's flattering...but sometimes annoying. sorry I don't even know why they are so interested because I'm a quiet person. I try to ignore them, but they just keep at it. I don't know what to say to them because I can't think of anything that doesn't sound rude.
Trialbyfire Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Sometimes it's the challenge of getting an indifferent man's attention that causes young girls to flirt with someone who's not interested. Get caustic with your sarcasm.
carhill Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Yeah, I'm pretty sarcastic. Women repellent doesn't get any better than that..... of course, if you're good looking, you may have to add the caustic part...
Author Ignorant&Innocent Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 lol I'm not good with sarcasm though. I'll try. haha
carhill Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 The problem is, it's addictive. Psychological crack
Trialbyfire Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Haha...psychological crack indeed. It can be fun and brought to near an artform. As for caustic, if a girl starts to flirt by flaunting body parts, suggest that she improve on those parts or point out someone else who has better. If she tells you you're cute, thank her then don't return the favour. It goes on and on how far you can and should take it.
zilverenvlinder Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 It's so weird that you mention this because I was just thinking about this at work today. This girl who sits next to my cube, named Brea, is at least 28 to 30 yrs old. There's a pretty good looking guy who sits near us, and he keeps to himself so obviously he just wants to do his work and be left alone (he reads a lot) so I don't talk to him much unless I have a question about something. Brea, on the other hand, acts like a 15 year old when it comes to this guy. It's so embarrassing! She'll go over to him and shamelessly rub her ass in his face/giggle like an idiot and obviously embarrass him, he blushes a lot and doesn't really talk to her, and yet she STILL keeps on going! ...poster, are you sure you don't live in South Carolina...? LOL. Anyway, I agree, it's ridiculous. It makes me ashamed to be female. I honestly think you should just grow a pair (no offense), smile, and say, "The attention you're giving me is very flattering, but I'm not interested. thanks." Or however you want to say it. SOMEONE has to teach these girls how to act. God.
carhill Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Describe Brea's ass Seriously, you know why a guy puts up with that? It's because, if he shuts her down, karma throws him under the bus and he doesn't get laid for a week minimum. It's just fear, plain and simple. Fear of his wife/SO seeing that ass through his eyes and god forbid he even thought one second about it being delectable. Fear of having to whack off
I am who I am Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 how do you get away from girls who keep trying to flirt with you? Wow... coming out of the closet on the internet!!! Good for you! Have you told your parents yet?
Bloodelf Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I wish i had that problem, i'd enjoy it while it lasts.....
smoothrider Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Take it in your stride, wether you find them attractive or not and if you have a partner or not. If your just not wanting to go down that road be as indifferent as you can on the situation, eventually she may get it or it may get her to increase her efforts either way you know you have no interest so she's overall just wasting her time. I've never openly told a woman to stop how she's acting unless it's explicit mostly because that might just be part of her personality she might not even want you nor find you attractive she might be just trying to be friends or something and this is the only way she knows how.

On the flip side, you have to wonder about men who encourage this type of attention by playing the disinterested role. Methinks many of these guys are secretly enjoying the attention.
