I have no doubt this man is a sociopath and I have no doubt I was brainwashed by him. Unless you have ever been a victim of a sociopath, you couldn't possibly understand. And yes, my husband is a very good man, and believe it or not, he things I'm a very good woman. Take care everyone. Only the foolish get fooled Zoo! Do not play the victim! It doesn't matter if the guy was a sociopath or not. You did this because you KNEW that you could get away with it. You may understand that your H is a great guy, but you have no respect for him. This is not over, because it's not about the affair so much as how you percieve your husband. If your husband had more of an A type personality, and made more Money, I don't think you would have ever cheated on him in the first place. You not a bad person... but you lack introspection! I hope this makes you look at who you are and wonder why you do what you do!
stillafool Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 OP is not a child or a naive young woman. She is married with kids and is in a high level position in her company. The exact same things that her MM is. She knew exactly what she was getting into and saw trouble coming long before it got there. It is not fair now to play as if she were lead into an affair. She holds the exact same responsibility that he does. She said she has been honest with her husband but has she told her H that she is still in love with this man and he is on her mind day and night? No, I don't think so. It seems it is easier to think of this man as a Sociopath to ease her own guilt and look better in her h's eyes. When in fact if this Sociopath wanted to be with her again she welcome him and she knows it.
