Hey everyone ,

Just wondered if its irritating to you if someone is ALWAYS complaining about anything and everything. Why do you think they complain so much ?

I am a positive person and it just takes away the attraction to listen to all that. I am also a problem solver so I offer solutions. Do you think people who complain really want their problem/ situation to change ?

Well people who [think they] are always Mary Sunshine going about offering solutions irritate the hell out of me! :p

Mary, I think what is perceived as complaining is often merely sharing (crap does happen in life) or working things out aloud for themselves. It may even be plain old venting. Make sense?

Yes , but if you present me with a problem , I try to find a solution. Because if I keep my same problem and whine about it all the time , isn't that like Baggage ?

And I understand the venting thing. But do you think on a first and second date that a guy should go on a long diatribe about everything his ex did to him and how crappy his day was ?

Mary3, what exactly is your problem now?

Hopefully Mary3 knows I'm just teasing her in good fun. :)

Problem: Guy spends date complaining

Solution: Mary refuses to go on more dates with complainer.

Result: Guy is free to meet a fellow complainer, Mary free to meet fellow problem-solver.

Some might say, I'm as good at solving problems as I am at provoking good rants :p.

Although I admit a good rant about complainer guy would be a good reward for all my problem-solving efforts.

I love you guys ! :)

Well since I guess I am a problem solver, its frustrating when someone * whines ~er complains * so much and I want to help and I can't help that person...

Too bad I'm not a guy :p.

Maybe it's just me, for why did you go twice?

Maybe you need to go again just to be sure... :p

Personally, it bothers me when a person always seems negative. I have a few friends that only seem to be happy when they are complaining about something. The food is undercooked/overcooked/doesn't taste right, etc. I dont know, it just irritates me when it happens time and time again. Sure, it's hard to always be positive, and lord knows i'm not, but it's best to not always share every single complaint, especially if it's early on in a relationship. All it will do is make the person seem unable to please, and well, what hope will you feel you have with someone you can't make happy.
