lostandconfused83 Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 So... There is this girl I really like, I've liked her for a long time, we've kinda dated but arent technically boyfriend and girlfriend. Reason being she feels she isn't ready for a relationship. We discussed it in length many months ago that we want to develop a close friendship, and somewhat casually date until she feels she is ready for a serious relationship. So we have been going on dates here and there, talk a lot on email / Instant messanger... We used to talk on the phone constantly and text all the time until her parents noticed it was crossing from friendship to being more and they don't want us talking. (funny parents loved me being her friend, but once they found out it was more they tried to end that reallllly quick!) So we have been secretly seeing each other for a while now. Meeting up for coffee going places, having a fun time. So the other day we met up, I just got back from Paris for a week. She had emailed me a couple times while i was gone telling me she missed me and cant wait to see me and hear about my trip and tell me about things... She also threw in a "hope you didnt make out with any french women! but I know you will be mine when you get back!" So we were hanging out and she was holing my hand, I gave her a necklace I bought from tiffany's. She loved it, she kissed me, was kissing me on the cheek, playing with the buttons on my shirt and making me put my hand around her while we walked... She was really into me, like she usually is. Well to cut a long story short at the end of the day I walked her to her car she got in, rolled the window down and I leaned in and kissed her a couple times. She smiled and blushed. Told me she cant wait tell next week when we can hang out again........ then she said I have to tell you something. She told me she was a party at her brothers house and had about 8 shots and was pretty drunk, and went upstairs with a guy from the party and started making out with him. She said that she feels really bad and felt she had to tell me. She said it meant nothing, and she doesn't like him, she likes me. And I have every right to be mad at her because if I did the same thing she would be mad at me...... I am kinda mad... but we arent really boyfriend and girlfriend officially? How should I take this? I just kinda blew it off and said I'm a little mad but I can't change the past, and if you feel bad you feel bad.... She's IM'd me a couple times since telling me how much she loves the necklace and how happy she is, yadda yadda. We are both young, she's 18 and Im 25... We broke up a couple times (my fault I showed too much attention! But I did a 180 and she came right back after I started dating other girls! So now I'm just taking things slow and easy)

Re-read your post, especially this part: I am kinda mad... but we arent really boyfriend and girlfriend officially With that being said, maybe now is the time to talk to her about being exclusive. No other girls, no other guys..Doesn't mean you two have to get very serious right away, but it means that it's obvious there are feelings involved now and it's time to take it another level and BE boyfriend/girlfriend.
