CailinPig Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Ok, this is a really crazy idea and probably wouldn't work, but I was wondering if anyone wanted to set up a system where we could couple off some Loveshack users and that they could help each other get through their problems and be there specifically for one another. I'd personally love that! We could even email each other and all! Anyway, if anyone wants me (!! haha), I'm looking for a guy who's in his twenties (cos im a girl in her twenties and i figure it'd be helpful to match life experience)!! PS: I don't mean to set people up for romance, I mean to set people up PURELY to act as support systems for each other.

Go to the top nav-bar, to your "My profile/CP" on the far left-hand side, so you can activate it. I don't know if you have enough posts yet since the number isn't something the site gives out. If you want this feature immediately, donate to the site as a subscribing member.

I started noticing that this woman on the site was very insightful, grounded, funny even in the midst of her own breakup pain. I came to find out we live in the same city; we ended up meeting in person in May 2005 and she has since become one of my best friends. I went to her wedding in September of last year, and she has been a rock to me in this breakup - I was at her and her husband's house just last night, in fact. I can say, without hesitation, that my 2005 relationship/breakup ultimately gave me the gift of her friendship and that made the whole thing worth it. Anyway, the PM feature is a good one to use. It's definitely helpful to find support on boards like this.

Lizzie, it sounds easy, but to be honest, I really haven;t established any sort of rlationship with anyone on these boards even though I've been here three months!! I've noticed the same names cropping up again and again, but I haven't actually established a connection with anyone. that's why I was suggesting it. Anyway, if anyone wants to PM me and tell me about themselves, feel free. I don't care if you're a man, woman, middle aged, young, old, etc. Tell me about yourselves and your interests!
