So. Now I'm working from 7am - 3.30pm Mon - Fri (getting up at 5am to start at 7am, the travel is killing me!), then 9pm - midnight Mon - Fri. I figure if I can get in weekends as well, I won't have any time to think about him at all. How does everyone else cope with the thinking aspect of everything that has happened. It's been over three months now and I'm finding it all as fresh as the day I walked out and it's sometimes a bit hard to take. Work takes my mind off things to an extent but I can also only work so much. Any advice?

Its simple to leave but difficult to forget and I think that you should be into some work which doesn't remind you of your ex,ok!

My job is mindless.. so as I'm working the drill press at the shop, all I'm left with is my own thoughts.

"Lonesome tears. I can't cry them anymore. I can't think of what they're for. How they ruin me. Every time."

Agreed but I do have to earn a living. How does one just stop doing what they've done for the past 10 years? I miss the work I did with him because we were a good team workwise but not lovewise. It's a shame but this is how it is. I'm taking my time a bit to try and work out exactly what I want to do in my future. My mum tells me that something will fall in my lap. I suspect she's right.:) She's a wise woman.

motive2002, can you use an Ipod/mp3 player while working? I've found that if I'm doing something mindless, it helps me to put on some podcasts or music to just stop thinking.

Btw, love what you wrote about your location!! :p I spent a year in Oregon as an exchange student and the first thing they taught us was to pronounce it correctly! ;)
