parselysage Posted July 22, 2003 Posted July 22, 2003 i have been lifting weights for about 3 years now, usually about 2-3 times per week. i also do cardio exercise. why is it that when i don't exercise for more than 3 days my muscles start to ache? i'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows the cause. thanks.
Ryan Posted July 22, 2003 Posted July 22, 2003 Explain this "ache" better. When does it happen? What are you doing when it happens? Before it happens? How often does it happen? How long does it last?
jalexy Posted July 22, 2003 Posted July 22, 2003 this happens to me when i am really really really lazy. i dont know if that is the same for you. but it could also be that your muscles are used to the workouts and depend on them, but i am no dr. so i wouldnt know for sure.
Heidi2 Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Well, I don't per se lift weights as you seem to do. However, I do exercise frequently (walking/jogging), etc. and well if I don't stretch before hand, I can feel some pain in my muscles.. Also, if I don't do any form of movement for a long stretch of distance, in a day, or two.. I really feel it in my bones & certain muscles. Just keep at it.. and don't put too much load on yourself.. Only do what YOU can do.. not what you're mind 'thinks' you could handle.
