blair08 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 What makes some people feel the need to exaggerate and/or stretch the truth about things? There is this guy me and my H both know. Nice guy, do anything in the world for you, BUT when he tells you something its either, A.) is not true at all, or B.) he exaggerates the truth. There were a few things me and my H both knew to not be true and he would come up with some wild story about a certain situation. Then there have been times when we know something about a certain thing, and he will expand on it and add things to the story that really didn't happen. It can be something major or minor. Just wondering WHY it is some people feel the need to do that?
JackJack Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Attention? insecurity? I dunno, never really understood it myself. They figure the truth alone is not good enough, so they have to stretch it to make it seem more exciting, the plain truth is just boring to them maybe.
