Author paperthinheart Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 we technically are engaged... but thats what he wants it to stay as... nothing more...
Lauriebell82 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 we technically are engaged... but thats what he wants it to stay as... nothing more... Why are you engaged if he doesn't plan on marrying you? Did he propose to you? Man that is a really screwed up situation if he asked you to marry him but probably never will. I'd be gone in a second if a guy did that to me. You and your daughter deserve better than that.
saraispiel19 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 you can't force a man to marry you- if marriage is what you want and he has made it clear to you that he does not i suggest you a) go to couples counciling to find out the real issue here; is he a commitment phobe or he wants to stay available? b) break it off and stay good friends c) deal with it find a way to finally realize that hey yall aren't getting hitched! i would go with choice A -- both of you would get an insite on eachothers POV
GPFan Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Hi paperthinheart, Now that you have your Daughter, you need to make peace with your current arrangement unless/until he changes his mind. The very best gift you can give your Daughter is two loving parents living together in harmony.
