katie123 Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Ok so im a lil bit embarrassed about typing this out cuz the answer is pretty much straring me in the face and i feel like such an idiot. Neway i met this girl online and found out shes like the friend of a friend so we chatted for a few days then met up. It went pretty good and the next day she asked me to go over to hers to hang out,watch a movie. But when we got there all her mates were there, high as a kite. We ended up sitting wiv her mates all night, my date even getting high herself!! This was pretty much already the worst date ever already but then i made such a mistake by basically having sex with her. Do you think this girl is just after sex? i think if u can get high on ur second date then u cant hold much regard over the person. I know i shouldnt have had sex with her but ive just got out of a ltr and i guess i was lonely. I think i need someone to knock some sense into me and tell me i deserve more. Have i been out of the dating world so long that im so freaked out by this? Lol just writting this out makes me feel like a tool.

Why is it acceptable to get smashed around your colleagues, on first dates, when out meeting people, alone, etc. but people look down on potheads?

She just wants to have fun and sex is a part of it. Luckily, you are intelligent enough to see this. She is not typical, although many people...male and female...are screwed up someway relationshipwise and are not good candidates for dating. Most of them, however, are smart enough to hide that fact for six months or so during the initial dating process. If this gal you were with was interested in dating you, she would have hidden the fact that she's a dud for a longer period of time. Don't be freaked out. This is just reality. Dating is sssssssssoooooooooooooooooooo much fun!

Alcohol is certainly worse for your liver. Pot is worse for your lungs. I think if you are going to use one to extreme, you'd be far better off with pot (there is NO equivalent in the pot world to a bad ass hangover. You might have the "spacey's", but that is about it). If you were going to use one in moderation, I think alcohol is less destructive (actually, most doctors say it is GOOD for you in moderation... lovers the blood pressure). Also, I think people ARE looked down upon who get totally smashed on their first dates, too. When I was a big drinker I know I turned off a couple of girls by how much I drank, even though I was a seasoned pro and acted pretty much the same after 5 or 6 drinks as I did cold sober. When I was a pothead (smoked up twice a day, on average, which I think qualifies) I used to generally be discreet about it. Fact is, some people are into drinking and some aren't. Some are into smoking and some aren't, though the number is certainly smaller. Birds of a feather...

There is a convincing amount of evidence that smoking weed screws your short term memory. Of course, anyone who has been or known a pothead didn't really need any elaborate scientific study to tell them this. Funny story (or sad)... my girlfriend has a couple of pothead friends, and I talked with one of them at a party the other night. He was clearly high as a kite. I saw him the next night, and he proceeded to tell me "this cool story" he had heard from a guy last night. Funny thing was... that guy was me. He's actually a really smart guy, which makes the whole thing even more frightening. If weed can do this to a smart guys short term memory, what could it do to someone who isn't that smart? Anyway... I think most of it comes back, if you stop. Most.
