I got confirmation today that she isn't seeing anyone, so she's been honest.

The problem: Her daughter's father found out she broke up with me, so he has been putting on the pressure to get back together "for the sake of the baby". She keeps telling him no, but it's caused her to feel really confused and lost, and she's been shutting people out. Which explains why I haven't seen her online.

What do I do? I've been NC for 6 days. I want to reach out, but I don't want to make things worse for her and get pushed away even more.

This seems to me a non-question. There isn't anything you should do or can do. Don't call her. She doesn't want to be with you. I'm very sorry about that; it's what's happening to me too.

You're right, you don't want to get pushed away further. So stay away, live your life. Don't worry about what she thinks or does.

I think...

That her priority should be her daughter.

Are you saying she should give the lying and cheating daughter's father a 4th chance?

NO! I'm sure 0hP just meant that she should worry about raising the child, and get rid of the bad apple man.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for the save, kizik. :)

jadedone, her priority should be raising her daughter. As a parent, her daughter is the priority. She should not give the biological father a 4th chance in my opinion, but if she does then that's her deal - and you'd have made an entirely new thread about that.

One of my earliest memories is asking my father what he would do if we had no surplus food and the only one who could eat is he. He said "I would give my share to you."

His answer has stayed with me since.

Best regards to you.
