I just found this site today and its seems like a valuable resource for us challenged guys. Anyways, here's my situation...

I met this girl last week. I called her the next day, and we had a pretty long and easy-going conversation. During the conversation, she asked if I wanted to get together sometime, and we both agreed to a place to meet. That night, she surprises me with a text message, telling me how much she enjoyed our conversation (with xoxo's in the text). I called her back the next day and got the voice mail. Day before our date, I messaged her to confirm that she still wanted to get together tomorrow. She said she definitely did. So on the day of our date, she calls to tell me that there was an emergency and she wanted to reschedule. I thought she was genuine when she told me about her emergency and I agreed to rescheduling. She messaged me that night and tells me that she is glad that I still wanted to meet after what happened today. I then decided to take the initiative and call her with a plan for this week. So I called her up on tues, got the voice mail again, left a message about meeting up on either thurs or fri, and she hasn't called me back with a response yet.

What do you guys think? Maybe she's not interested?- though she was the one that initiated the first date. Maybe Im just over analyzing the issue since it has only been a day without a response. How long do women usually wait before responding? And should I try to contact her today or tomorrow?

I can't comment on how long it takes women to respond on average or what might be going on in her head, but I can suggest you wait.

A day won't matter if she is interested and if she is on the fence a follow up call too soon could blow it for you.

Nope! The ball is in her court! Calling again won't do anything except make you appear desperate... and you don't want that.

Just be patient...

Take D-Lish's advice, she is one of the best dating experts on LS. :)

Ditto - you left a message with a proposed time. If she's interested in finalizing plans she'll call you.

Then I'd let a week past if you don't hear from her and call again to see how she's doing. I like that one last attempt just in case there was a valid reason she didn't called - lost phone, deleted message, etc.

I have done both. Many times. Sigh. :p
