My boyfriend and I of two years broke up pretty much the day of our anniversary. He broke up with me, saying he felt trapped and wanted to try the single life. He moved out ( we shared an apt ). However, since then we've still been "seeing" each other physically, which sometimes I've regretted, but all in all I've enjoyed it. So has he. Well just recently he has decided that he doesn't like the whole dating scene, and I'm the best girl he's ever known, plus the sex is good. So we agreed to date, not exclusively, but we're not going to go out looking for other people to date. He's not ready "to come back", he wants to make sure that he's ready for "us" a serious, exlusive relationship that will eventually turn into marriage.

What is everyones input on this. What do you think. Is this normal, or does this ever happen and end on a positive note, ( meaning we'll get back together)? Do you think that its even possible?

I think by continuning to be intimate, you're making a big mistake. Sex is fun, we all love sex. But if he knows he can come and go as he pleases and have sex aviable to him at the same time, you're never going to move forward. I personally think you should cut him loose. Tell him to get out of his system what he needs to get out of his system. If he comes back to you, it was meant to be. If not, then you have your answer. But if you stay in this limbo, you will never know and what he is doing isn't really fair to you since you aren't the one that wanted to break up.

I've been in this position and have broken it off with the guy. It was hard. But it felt 10 times better then the limbo situation and wondering about his real feelings..even if the sex was great.
