I hereby decree that you are a man in a woman's body but are not a lesbian. Does that make you a gay man in a woman's body?

Indeed or a transvestite. :lmao:

In addition to all of the above: there are people, companies, online who will accept payment to hack anyone's email password. If you don't believe me google it.

Is there a company name you can put out there? What exactly do we google?

If you wanna stay on top of the hackers they say always upgrade and the faster the better.

Also having two firewalls helps, we have had very few viruses in the past bunch of years.

I read a horror story about a woman who had the key logger and copied every piece of mail, IM etc., for 6 months. Never let on she had a clue about the H's affair. Then put it all in a nice neat binder and hand delivered it to the OW's H. That's what I'm afraid his W will do. I'm sure its what I deserve, but I dread it none the less.

IThat's why I got bought myself a super fast computer and got VISTA as soon as it came out, it stays on top of all the hackers who are developing viruses at lower chain speed. If you wanna stay on top of the hackers they say always upgrade and the faster the better.

On the contrary, when new OSs (or apps) are released they are always full of bugs and vulnerabilities, which hackers are quick to exploit - which is why Microsoft releases so many fixes and patches in such a flurry!

It's far better not to be an early adopter if you're not well protected (firewalls, third party security systems - though even these can be rendered useless unless you're running them on a separate OS, either on a separate machine or a virtual machine on a different OS) as those are the guys who get hit and whose hits allow the bug fixers to identify the vulnerabilities and patch them.

Oh - and gamers are particularly vulnerable to spyware, malware and other nasties.

Actually that's not true. We have two firewalls and never been hacked. Attempts have been made, but they are blocked immediately.

But how long was the affair? Sure it took you 10mins to break into their codes but how did they go on behind your back?

The affair itself started about 2 1/2 months prior to me making the choice to hack her computer. I, like many, many of our BS posters around here, "suspected but wanted to believe her". I was uneasy with their relationship pretty much the majority of that time, but I wanted to trust her, and (again like many others) didn't want to believe that she could/would cheat on me.

It took a series of events over a week to "prove" to me beyond a doubt that there was an affair going on. Her increasing distance and pushing me away, her sudden desire for a digital camera (she had no othe way to upload/send pics to him without my help, she didn't know computers at all), sudden concern for her appearance, and finally when I WATCHED her fight to get a chat window closed without me being able to see the contents. I stuck around long enough to make SURE that's what she was doing, and then just let her close it. I knew that I'd be able to figure it out later.

It was a couple of days before I could get access to her computer...after that, it was all out in the open.

Spyware like keyloggers is relatively easy to avoid, if you know a couple of basics. There are many, many other ways to get the information you need electronically.

But realistically, the greatest vulnerability still lies in the human element. I was able to get a TON of information about OM via his employer (a pleasant conversation with a chatty admin). I not only got good work contact information and such, but a lot more about him personally through her. The when you start cross-referencing facts (I learned he often walked to work, so that meant his home address was likely within two miles tops...so then contact the local utility company and ask about my "dad"'s account, mr XXX in YYY, I got his street address. Take his name and home address...and you get his home phone number. Then contact a friend with all that info, and find out what vehicle he drives. While you're at it, find out he's divorced, ex-Marine, and has two kids that he's got partial custody of. His ex lives in an adjacent state...which you then find out he was born in.

The point is, once you get a little information...you can use that to expand and cross-reference your searches to get more and more info.

That's one reason why I warn people all the time here...you WILL get caught, its just a matter of when.
