MM and his W are trying to get things back together after DDay several months ago. We still work together until my transfer goes thru. Today she waltzs into the office and hands him an envelope with copies of all our e-mails and IM's. Apparently they had a big talk the night before and agreed to stop spying on each other and he asked her to get rid of all evidence etc she had. So she brings that in for him. Grand entrance in, grand exit out. Fine, I get it.

I don't believe those are those are ALL the copies, and even so, helllllooooooo. She probably has the originals stored on her computer at work. If this was suppose to make anybody involved feel better, it didn't.

I AM sorry she had to read those, I am sorry to have hurt her. But what I feel doesn't matter. My whole point of this post is watch those e-mails! Watch any communication on a computer, that key logger is wicked. Things will bite you in the butt months later.

Darn skippy...

My wife's OM was an IT tech. Knew his way around the computer very, very well. He walked her through EVERYTHING to ensure that there was no way that I could catch them.

Too bad he didn't know anything about my background. Took me <10 minutes to bypass all their little safegaurds and have the truth.

Affairs thrive on communication. They die without it. And...any form of communication leaves a trail that can be followed. Its the #1 way that most WS's are busted.

LOL, what blew me away about my exsMM's wife's little cyber adventures, emails arranging to meet coworkers etc was that HE was an IT guru - wtf made her think he wouldn't be able to figure it out??

So did Messy pants. :p

Yeah that's how they caught us, keylogger (though not sure how that was done since he was living on his own and not using the same comp as her!?!?) and then had us followed. Woopdeedo, "we were caught on email"

He's divorced now so can't excactly say it bit me in the azz.

But how long was the affair? Sure it took you 10mins to break into their codes but how did they go on behind your back?

I think that people that get caught in affairs want to get caught. I saw how careless mine was right from the get-go and we were dating in the WIDE open so there is no way he wouldn't have gotten caught. Just surprised it took THAT darn long.

Sounds like something he should be proud to pass on to future generations, those lovely character traits.

The point was he wasn't being secretive in his actions, he just wouldn't tell her we were together. So he subconsciously WANTED her to know just didn't have the cojones to tell her.

and yes cowardise is not a good trait to pass on to anyone for that matter, but who am I to cast the last stone....

WOW really? THAT'S how it's done remotely?

How sneaky I had no idea WF!! thanks for sharing that.

So does that mean someone could do it to me too? It's THAT simple? they could send me an email that I open and they have all my login info?

Surely it can't be that simple!?!?

I know what you meant, and as a personal opinion, (only mine)it wasn't subconsciously it was deliberately so he didn't have to see the hurt in her face at the moment of discovery.

Why do you think computer viruses are so dangerous?

That makes NO sense. I told you he was going out of his way to do everything openly therefore tempting fate so that she DID find out, so how is that not wanting to see her hurt face at the moment of discovery?!?!

what did he think she was going to do if she caught him, throw a party in honour of us?

Yep, it's that simple, unfortunately. And I think men are more suseptible because they are such visual creatures.

SSiigghh. If he had been man enough to tell her, he would have had to deal with the initial shock, hurt and betrayal. Anger is what most MM can deal with, it helps in the justification. They don't want to deal with the pain. We see it on this board a lot. He leaves, goes home, leaves gets depressed. For those like Mr. Messy who are too woosie, all they are prepared to handle is the anger. Remember I did say it was my opinion, and we will agree to disagree. Have a blessed day.:)

it costs more to buy. Much less to run. And in terms of productivity, it's far more efficient. You NEVER have to reboot a Mac because the system committed an illegal operation, it never does the spin cycle thing like a washing machine because Windows gobbles all the processor to run some background process, and it just LOOKS so much prettier than a cruddy old PC. (OK, I'm a visual creature too. Guess that makes me a man again!) :p

BNB he DID have to deal with that that is exactly what happened.

Anyway what is the point of this discussion? Wanna call him over here so that we can build a cross for him and publicly crucify him?

I agree he was a coward, he had lack of morals HE ACTED dispicably and I was right there making it happen with him too. Is THAT the topic here? Or was it "be careful emails come back to bite you in the azz".

Maybe I misunderstood the opening post?

Yeah "god bless and go in peace and love thy neighbour" and all that jazz.... you god lovers say and forget to do.

In addition to all of the above: there are people, companies, online who will accept payment to hack anyone's email password. If you don't believe me google it.

They've advertised enough times on LS, though they disappear pretty quickly as spam advertising is a no-no..

Yeah MAC's are great - My expression is, once you use MAC, you don't go back......lol

I hereby decree that you are a man in a woman's body but are not a lesbian. Does that make you a gay man in a woman's body?

I have seen that and thought if you are willing to hire someone to hack into someone else's presonal stuff what is stopping that very same hacker from doing the same to you? I could never trust one of those places to hack someone for me.

That's why I got bought myself a super fast computer and got VISTA as soon as it came out, it stays on top of all the hackers who are developing viruses at lower chain speed. If you wanna stay on top of the hackers they say always upgrade and the faster the better.

I agree in the Mac thing we have both at work I work in a creative environment and Macs DO ROCK. But in a mixed enviroment it is still more inclined towards PC and Macs get the shorter end of the stick.

Why would you think that I don't love my neighbors? Is it only OK for those who think the same way to post. I didn't attack you. I did state what I,(what I saw) about his actions. I have no need or desire to crucify him or anyone else. Why so defensive? I am not, nor will I be the last person to comment on the original post and then see something else in someone else's post that will catch my attention.

You seem to be happy with your situation, why be so angry with a comment that effects your life not at all. And yes I am a God lover. I don't forget to love anyone. If your man was lying in the street and I knew who he was and what he had done, I would still do my damndest to help him anyway that I could. That's what loving my fellow man is all about. It doesn't mean I have to agree or even pretend that I agree. The words of a Christian don't matter as much as the actions of a Christian when someone is in need. :)
