katiekins Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 recently, my friend (i'll call her sally) and i have made friends with this guy (i'll call him jack!). sally, jack and i meet up most days and do something; go shopping, to the park, cinema etc. but for the last few times i've been getting the feeling that jack was kind of flirting with me whenever sally wasn't there for a minute. like yesterday, when she went to the toilet he was sitting really close to me and trying to hold my hand. when she comes back he always stops (he's a very very shy boy!) the thing is, i like jack in that way, but i want to do something with him just us two. but! if i invite him somewhere without sally she will be upset and wondering why she wasn't invited. she doesn't know i like him as more than a friend because if i tell her, she'll definitely tell him (she's a bit of a blabbermouth!) and i'd rather see how things pan out than just have it announced to him! how can i invite him somewhere (and where?) that doesn't seem too much like i'm excluding sally? is there any way of doing this without hurting her feelings? i really want to see how things go with jack but don't want to lose sally as a friend in the process!
Author katiekins Posted May 30, 2008 Author Posted May 30, 2008 I'm 17. I sound really immature in this post but I'm really not this bad in real life!
spookie Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Nah, I just think politics of this sort in the "real" world are a little bit different. Honestly I think this is more your friend's problem than yours. She should be able to deal with this.
Author katiekins Posted May 30, 2008 Author Posted May 30, 2008 Yeah you're right. I've known him for longer than her anyway so I guess she can't really be annoyed about it!
