Anyone ever had a bad sunburn w/peeling skin?

I received a really bad sunburn over the Memorial Day weekend, was out in the sun at a barbeque on the beach for 2 days without any sunblock. (yeah it was pretty stupid, I know)

 

My question is this: after you finished peeling, will the new layer of skin be darker than your natural skintone, or will you effectively "peel" the tan off, so that you remain with the same color skin before the sunburn?

 

Anyone know? Thanks!:)

This happens to me often, even if I use sunblock because I'm really fair.

 

In my case, I am usually tan after peeling.

It happened to me a couple of weeks ago and Im still tan after pealing. Make sure you moisturize.

 

oh, and remember your sunblock next time

It depends on how well you tan naturally. I've been burned plenty of times but the new skin is the same color. I don't tan for shyt.
