Funny how peoples' true colors present themselves when they no longer have 'perceived' power over a situation. You ex might have told her the truth and she decided to play a jedi mind trick on you? Or maybe the ex is so over confident that he will eventually succeed in winning you back that he told her an incorrect version that suited his wishes? I'm sure she loves her son. Probably more unconditionally then she should. He is a grown man and to enable him lying and cheating and to top it off cater to his need to get back together with you in spite of that. Yikes. Her perspective may suit her need to think her son walks on water. Perhaps a little more accountability in his formative years would have prevented it. Whatever. You are getting a cool house away from crazy. Good for you. I would be on guard for escalation as your move draws closer. How long before you move? Not until next month....ugh no escalation.....I have just had it up to here!

Regardless, until he tells her for certain it's a done deal, she's got a big mouth. Run, run out of state as fast as you can... Oh believe me, I am going to run as fast as I can, this is bullcrap!
Author justice Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 She probably is in denial and doesn't want to believe her 'dear' son is capable of such a thing (the cheating) and she probably blames you anyway. Don't let her get under your skin! Still sucks that you had to deal with her. Oh she knows all right! She's the one who helped him cover and lie for what he did, she was in close colusion with the OW too. OW at that point had money. Of course she would side with her then and me now. Yeah it did suck.

How awkward and emotional to have that happen to you. I hope there are no more encounters with him or his mother and I know you can put this last proof of his screwed up family behind you. Thanks HR, I never had any doubts about leaving at all. I'm hoping that the last time I see them will be next to never.
