Has anyone who has been given the "space line" or you have told your gf/bf that you want space had gotten back together and found that your relationship was 200 times better than before????

and what was your experience?

I got the we-need-some-time-apart thing. And I went into it confident I was going to get her back. I didn't and I descended into a personal hell.

It sucked, I moved on, and I couldn't be happier than with the woman i am with now.

with me, i think that saying you need to spend a few weeks apart is a really bad sign. i think sure, spending a few days apart is no biggie, as long as you still communicate. i hate taking breaks, might as well just end it.

but yeah, as you can tell, ive done the space thing, actually made it all worse.

I told someone once that I just needed my "space". I was very young at the time, but what I really felt inside was that I wanted to date other people.

Well, I have never said that line, nor has is it been said to me,

but my cousin and his lady decided to take a "break." Got back together and realized how wonderful they were for each other. And got married. Still married to this day.
