OK, been out of dating for years and just getting back in. Here's the question... what is the shelf life of a phone number you get from a girl?

My example... I've met this woman about 5 times at various events over the last year, part of a larger friends circle. We've had a couple good convos.. last time i saw her was at a club. Didn't really talk to her that night but when I just stopped to say goodnight she lightly grabbed my arm, told me how one of our conversations another day was really good and said we should get together some time. I got her number and left. Life really has taken me for a ride with things I had to deal with and It's been over 2 weeks since then... should still follow up or have I lost the interest by so much time passing?

The only way to find that out, is to call her. If you prep yourself for possible rejection, the only other possible outcome is that she's still interested. Y'know? ;)

If I'm interested in a guy - there is no shelf life, however the risk is there that I may have met someone else. Hardly likely in only 2 weeks.

These rules about when to call after getting a number don't come from any women I know - I think it's a guy thing!

This number has no shelf-life. She made the move by suggesting you get together. She likes you. You're in. She didn't impulsively decide to hang out with you based on that one interaction, she had been thinking about it since the last time you talked. That means she didn't forget about you then, which means she won't forget about you now.

Just be yourself. Don't apologize for taking so long, just call her up in a good mood and expect her to be cheerful and happy that she's hearing from you. If you want, you can casually mention that you've had some interesting things happen to you lately. Tell her the funny/interesting parts, DO NOT MAKE IT SOUND NEGATIVE!

She has probably always liked you and she made the move herself based on previous encounters, not the most recent one. Her interest never expired so neither will her phone number.

CALL HER!!!!

Only one way to find out... ;)

Sometimes they do expire though: I got a number at the Super Bowl party I went to, but kinda put the follow up on hold for a while. Too much on my plate at the time. My friend said just the other week she was still interested, but this weekend I find out she decided she was a lesbian and moved across the state. Expired!! :lmao:

Some expire, some don't. Saxis is right. Call and find out.

I say you never know unless you try. Two weeks isn't much. You could just say you were travelling or busy with work or whatever the truth is, if you feel the need to offer an explanation. I'd say if she's interested, which it appears she is (unless the digits are fake lol) then you're in the clear.

Let us know how it goes! :-)
