knightzen Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 From a very young age, I had a bad philosophy on love, basically it was that “It is not possible for a girl and a boy to both love each other, A boy loves the girl only or the girl loves the boy only, Never do they both love each other.” Physical attraction was a big component of love I thought. Anyway this seemed to be the case for me all throughout school, and, my attempts of finding love always failed. A couple of years after school however, my luck changed for the better and eventually I found my love and we were together for 8 years as well. Towards the end I thought was the best and closest time but soon enough my Long-love turned into Long Distance Relationship as she had to relocate overseas for work, the Visa requirement meant I could not go with her.. Obviously this situation was eating me up so I broke things up. We still maintain contact occasionally however – this I think may be just making things worse.. Anyway since that my search for love is resulting in the same ongoing dilemma. I have been on a few dates with different girls, but usually by the second date, I am told that “its not you, its me” and they never want to see me again. A week ago I met a new girl and I have seen her a couple of times , To me she is the absolute Goddess of beauty, and was so excited that she wanted to see me for a second date I am so obsessed with her, .. But after spending time with her we started getting close and I started thinking that things were too good to be true. I started to feel anxious, and that im not worthy.. Am I too find out tomorrow when I call her that she is not interested in me?, I am really stressing about it, and if she doesn’t want to continue, Im worried Im going to go absolutely nuts!
Mahatma Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Your problem is you are still thinking about your past failures. No one is destined to be lonely their whole life. The other girls probably cut off the relationships because of your lack of confidence. Don't go too far with this "obsess[ion]," take your time and let it play out. This beautiful girl seems to like you, get confident.
