floridadude87 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Im 21 and ive been dating this girl thats 23. We went out 3 times, we got along very well almost perfect are intrests are very similar we could spend hours talking about life and are beliefs. she says i am more mature and worldly than people 10 years older than myself. All of a sudden she tells me that she cant get over the age thing, she said she tried to get over it everytime we went out but she couldnt, she said becides that im perfect for her and she would love to be with me. she wants to be friends now and she said eventually she might get over it. What should i do? I dunno if shes testing me to see if i can be in it for the long haul, or she just plain does not like me.
Cherry Blossom 35 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 It's only two years, what's her big hang-up? If she says she just wants to be friends you have to take her word for it. Move on, the aquairium's full of fine fish.
TheFonz Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 She's not into you and the 2 year age thing is just an excuse. I actually had been thinking about creating a thread along these lines and now you mentioned same topic. I think I'll make the thread.
thehappycynic Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Sounds like you fell into the "Friend Zone." She likes you just fine, but not like that. So now she wants to eat her cake and have it, too. She pretty much admitted that she's just going to string you along until she possibly changes her mind. She wants you waiting there in the wings for her. Why would she think she could treat you like that? Are you passive?
SpikeyChick Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 she says i am more mature and worldly than people 10 years older than myself. All of a sudden she tells me that she cant get over the age thing, Sometimes I am just plain ashamed at the BS that some sisters pull on guys.
