Marin Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I was responding to the following point - about non-stranger donations: But thefact that they know each other is different. He just wants to be the one to knock up this lesbian as long as he doesn't have to have any financial or father responsibilities. That is not necessarily the case. In the case of my friend, their good friend wanted to do it to help them have a child! They wanted a guy with intelligence and other qualities to father their child! It is not an ego thing! He was helping out friends create lovely children! He gave them the ultimate gift!

Imlibido, was parapohrasing me. Of course there's going to be exceptions. I'm sure your friend was doing it solely out of wanting to help. I think this guy's situation is probably different. But giving sperm is not like donating a kidney jeez.

It sounds like he was just relating 'watercooler' banter at the office with his lesbian friend at work with his girlfriend.
InLimbo2 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 oh - dunno bout that - at the root of most humor is truth - or some variation of it - how many things start out as 'kidding around'? a lot It sounds to me like we don't even know if he is joking with them or serious. It sounds like he was just relating 'watercooler' banter at the office with his lesbian friend at work with his girlfriend.

My money is on, like I said before, he's not really joking and wants to knock up this lesbian woman but not have to support the child. This is one of a lot of guys ultimate fantasy.

Oh OK, I don't see anything wrong with that. The only thin wrong is that the baby might inherit egoistic traits but the parents could counteract that with the way they raise them. I still think, like in the case of my friend, he might just want to help them out since she's a friend of his. I don't see why ultruism is being discounted here. You don't know this guy - haven't you ever just wanted to help someone out?

Well in accordance with my thread "An observation and theory many guys have", this would inevitably happen anyway. I still think, like in the case of my friend, he might just want to help them out since she's a friend of his. I don't see why ultruism is being discounted here. You don't know this guy - haven't you ever just wanted to help someone out? Because I see the clear "ulterior" motive. If you knew how who originally brought up the idea, that would be a big clue. My guess is the woman was mentioning wanting a child and he volunteered himself.
InLimbo2 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I"m 46 and have both a lot of life experience and guy friends - and I've never heard that being in the top 10 fantasies of any of them. Some insecure men want to convert a lesbian to hetero - but those are from their own issues - but nothing about getting them pregnant. And it's not even comparable - he won't be having sex with the woman - just donating. I guess we just disagree. My money is on, like I said before, he's not really joking and wants to knock up this lesbian woman but not have to support the child. This is one of a lot of guys ultimate fantasy.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret, actually it's not even a secret, it's scientific theory. Men would rather their sperm impregnate every girl rather than another man's doing it. I didn't say it was about the act of actually having sex with the lesbian or converting her although that's another big fantasy. It's similar to men's virgin fantasy.
InLimbo2 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 LOLOL - you are confusing a male's DNA encoded desire to spread his seed for the survival of the species with a male fantasy of knocking up a lesbian. If it was merely a matter of the DNA encoding, he'd wanna get his gf pregnant too - and he was very clear he doesn't want that. And women say men don't understand them. It's funny when girls think they know more how a man's mind works than a man. Men aren't too confused about how their mind works nor how the mind of other males work. Let me put it this way, if he could knock up his GF and not have to pay or stik around he would. And I guarantee if his GF said she was going to get pregnant one way or the other with or woithout him, he'd have an issue with that.
InLimbo2 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 At 46 I'm a woman not a girl btw - how old are you? I've seen some of your posts - I'm guessing 20s And yes, I think I know more about how the great majority of men's minds work than you do - having a penis doesn't mean that all men think like you do I'm not confusing anything. InLimbo2 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 oh - I'm sure I know so - whether you agree or not doesn't effect that. you didn't answer - how old are you? LOL uh OK if you think so.

InLimbo2 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Hmm, I'd say age and life experience has a lot to do with things. Of course you don't have to answer, it's the internet after all. Refusal to do something so simple - not like I asked for your real name/address - speaks volumes IMO. Then again - just my opinion I don't have to answer your question when it has no bearing on anything really. You're implying something. I'm between 21 and 50.
