Through out the night, I flirted with our waitress. She flirted back and would tell me things about her self in the few seconds she had to talk. By the end of the night, I asked her for her number. She said she could not give it out and asked for mine. I told her I would give it to her, but I did not expect a call. When she returned with my receipt, she had wrote up the top 'Thank you, [my full name]. I WILL text you, FYI' As she handed it to me, she pointed it out and verbally reassured me she would text. I told her again that I did not expect anything. I have hit on waitresses before with no such luck, but this is the furthest I have got with one. Good chance or is she just being nice? Marin Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 The evening went well until you insisted on saying "I am not expecting a call" several times. That is showing that you lack confidence and in fact don't feel that you are worthy of a call from her. You were also basically calling her a liar because she said she would call /text you. That would be a turnoff to me if I were her.
