I realize it will be different in each individual case, but do men get emotional about it? Or are they still checking out other babes and taking it slow?

It is different for every guy and it depends if he is serious or not with the girl.

Phateless Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I dunno, I'm thinking that I'm at least partially committed at that point. I won't start sleeping with someone unless I think we're on the same page, whether that be dating seriously/exclusively, or just fwb, or even f-buddy. Now ONS are another story, but again, I won't go through with it if she thinks it's gonna be a relationship. I don't want to hurt anyone if I can help it. For me, I definitely fall a lot deeper when we start having sex, but I will also take it slow emotionally and continue to check out other girls. I take my time deciding on exclusivity, because I don't want to settle. Once I decide I am exclusive, my word means everything. I won't touch another girl.

On the otherhand, if you're like myself and wait forever before sleeping with someone, it's possible he's more invested. I wouldn't rely on it though, even if the two of you have had a discussion about exclusivity, which then changes a dating situation, into a relationship.

I made my boyf wait to commit to me before i gave it up to him. I said if you become my boyfriend we will have sex if you just want to be friends than we can't. He is still with me and I suck @ sex...so I know he is with me b/c he wants to be with me. And yes, I think guys do feel emotion.

If a guy only wants sex and you make him wait, he will grow impatient and leave you, or he will go behind your back and meet other girls, but his true colors would show. Some guys freak out about sex and bail to avoid caring for the girl or ...whatever. If this happens then count yourself lucky. If they can't handle intimacy then honestly the sex is not going to be that great anyway.
