imstuckinatree3 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I have what i think is a good idea for a date but thought i could use some input. I have my pilots license and thought that it would be a cool date to take her flying. But it is a little expensive (about 140$ per hour). Do you think she would care if she knew how much it costs, though obviously i wouldn't tell her ??(first date by the way). I dont have a problem spending that much. Chanches are i would be flying whether she came or not. I dont have a date as of now, im just generalizing for the future. But i also thought of something else. What if i find out that she happens to be scared sh%tless of flying at a bad time, like on the ramp standing next to the plane ...lol just looking for some input....thanks
FormerNiceGuy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Get to know her first before you go crazy with all that money. Pick an activity that both of you will enjoy. Pick something that you can REALISTICALLY afford. Pick a place where you can talk to her and laugh with her..in other words..NO MOVIES on the first date. And make sure that it's something exciting and fun...no average run of the mill boring stuff. But whatever you do..don't throw down too much cash on a girl you don't even know. Don't try to buy a woman's affections. Don't be too cheap too..but keep in mind that you want to girl to like YOU...and NOT your money..etc.
D-Lish Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I think it's a great idea for a date- just not the first one. I agree, you don't want to spend too much cash on someone you don't know will be worth it or not.

And if you're going to pay to fly anyway ... Make sure she likes to fly in tiny planes first ... it can be a little unsettling for people who've never done it.

I agree, you don't want to spend too much cash on someone you don't know will be worth it or not. Well if the money isn't an issue, he could invite invite her casually, if she asks what his plans are: Guy: what are you plans for the weekend Girl: this and that, nothing at Saturday afternoon Guy: hmmm. Well I'm going flying Saturday afternoon Girl : really? Guy: yeah. hey, you wanna come?
FormerNiceGuy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Don't do it for a first date. Like I said before, get to know her first.
spookie Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I like fun activity dates. Hiking, watersports (not the perverse kind), ice skating, bowling. If you're in a cool city and the weather's nice, maybe exploring.
d0minat3r23 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 That's actually pretty creative. I hope it ends out well for you dude.
