bdfan1026 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I'm somewhat of a dating n00b, but I just started talking to a girl over aim a little while ago and we set up a date last week (the date went quite well, btw). Anyway, I was just wondering how other people work to progress things, as in ideal second dates, anything. The first date was a movie and we got some ice cream afterwards, then I dropped her back off at her mom's house. She laughed alot, smiled, and looked like she had a good time. Secondly, we've been talking on aim mostly, but I want to start calling and talking to her over the phone more often now. She's a little quiet, and I'm not sure if she wants to talk on the phone yet and we just started talking anyway so if anybody's had experience with this sort of thing before that would be great. Should I wait till after the next date to talk to her over the phone? or grow some cajones and do it now? comments are appreciated, but nothing too harsh please:) I just don't want to screw things up.

If she liked you...you calling her is only going to help things. If she really wasn't into you on the first date...you calling isn't going to make things anything worse than they already are...that is if she's not interested. So call her if you're interested....girls, for the most part, like phone calls.

Sometimes people get self-conscious and clam up in person, especially if they're feeling that emotional chemistry of attraction. If it's not too late tonight, call her now

If you want to talk take her out for a coffee or beer and just get chatting! I'd say hold off the proper phone calls until you get a few more dates anyway! but good luck man!
