Stella Sleepwalks Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Longest period of NC before you or your ex broke it? Was it worth it if you broke it? Did you continue the contact if they broke it? Or did you ignore them?
Starla Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 i have always been good at NC UNTIL i had the affair with MM. it was overwhelming passion, and plus we work together so NC is out of the question. i'm not sure i could do it anyway....not yet. before i met him, with my previous BFs, once i decided to have no contact stella, that was it. my friends used to comment on my steel willpower. i'm not sure why it's turned to jelly with my MM.
Mouldylocks Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Ex and I are in limited contact. It's not doing me any good. I replied when he initiated. Always email (urgh). Anyway, a week passed and nothing. I sent one 8 days ago and didn't try any further contact. He replied this morning. I haven't reciprocated and right now, I don't really want to. I'll be interested to see how long he goes when he doesn't get a reply. I'm betting it'll be less than the two weeks he's just done
frd150 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I went NC right after she told me I had no chance then 4 days later my phone rings.
Author Stella Sleepwalks Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 Not really an ex, more of a mutual crush. Found out he was seeing someone after a year of flirting, 6 hour phone calls and picture text messages............ He used to pick me up and drop me every now and then, leave me feeling rubbish, not understanding the disappearing act. Found out he was dating someone and that he used to call me when she was away or when they had fallen out. D'Oh! Did total NC then saw him at work 5 months later and BOOM! Texts messages started pouring in. I ignored them all and turned the tables. Now he feels really uncomfortable around me in work. Actually sweats! LOL Stupid idiot!
0hpenelope Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Everytime I'm on AIM. Less frequently, but then again I'm rarely on nowadays and I just want to not talk to him more than I want to. Talking to him = 5 steps forward, 3 steps back. He stopped sending text messages when I told him to stop (I would get sad when I got them and I told him). I wanted to go NC from the get go. He wants (wanted?) to stay friends. No, man. He took the high road, so he should just keep walking (re: my signature). Thanks for the memories, but I have a life to live.
CaliGuy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 (edited) It's been roughly a year for me now, save for one short email exchange last August telling her to stop stalking me. I did see her a few weeks ago at a track day but I just ignored her. My friends said she waved at me. I was like "Hmmm, didn't see it, don't care." - lol. She's someone else's problem now.
